Talk:Denominations by Size Index

These sorts of lists are great information to have in WikiChristian. So it's great to get them started. There are three small points that I'd suggest we keep in mind: (1) Let's minimize doing direct copies from wikipedia - it's better to start from scratch and keep the article simple and in line with WikiChristian's style; (2) If we do end up copying things from wikipedia, they will need to be carefully looked over by the person who imports them so that they are brought into line with WikiChristian's view on Christianity - for example, there is no such thing as a non-trinitarian Christian denomination in WikiChristian - we have already made the decision that to be considered Christian, the denomination must agree with points in the Nicene Creed, one of which is the Trinity and thus there non-trinitarian religions are classified as Other religions in WikiChristian; and (3) This is an Index page according to the WikiChristian Page Layout Guide and so it is best to name it as such. Anomalies in the list

Some of the figures don't add up. For example there are, according to the list, 670 million protestants, of which 350 million belong to "Historical Protestantism" and 588 million belong to "Modern Christian movements" - this is a bit of a problem because 350 + 588 doesn't equal 670. Additionally, I reckon Anglicanism should really be classed under Protestantism... I think it could be best to rework this list from scratch. --Graham 21:42, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
