Isaiah 15 Text (WEB) The burden of Moab: for in a night, Ar of Moab is laid waste, and brought to nothing; for in a night Kir of Moab is laid waste, and brought to nothing. They have gone up to Bayith, and to Dibon, to the high places, to weep. Moab wails over Nebo and over Medeba. Baldness is on all of their heads. Every beard is cut off. In their streets, they clothe themselves in sackcloth. In their streets and on their housetops, everyone wails, weeping abundantly. Heshbon cries out with Elealeh. Their voice is heard even to Jahaz. Therefore the armed men of Moab cry aloud. Their souls tremble within them. My heart cries out for Moab! Her nobles flee to Zoar, to Eglath Shelishiyah; for they go up by the ascent of Luhith with weeping; for in the way of Horonaim, they raise up a cry of destruction. For the waters of Nimrim will be desolate; for the grass has withered away, the tender grass fails, there is no green thing. Therefore they will carry away the abundance they have gotten, and that which they have stored up, over the brook of the willows. For the cry has gone around the borders of Moab; its wailing to Eglaim, and its wailing to Beer Elim. For the waters of Dimon are full of blood; for I will bring yet more on Dimon, a lion on those of Moab who escape, and on the remnant of the land.
Isaiah 15 Text (Hebrew) משא מואב כי בליל שדד ער מואב נדמה כי בליל שדד קיר־מואב נדמה׃ עלה הבית ודיבן הבמות לבכי על־נבו ועל מידבא מואב ייליל בכל־ראשיו קרחה כל־זקן גרועה׃ בחוצתיו חגרו שק על גגותיה וברחבתיה כלה ייליל ירד בבכי׃ ותזעק חשבון ואלעלה עד־יהץ נשמע קולם על־כן חלצי מואב יריעו נפשו ירעה לו׃ לבי למואב יזעק בריחה עד־צער עגלת שלשיה כי מעלה הלוחית בבכי יעלה־בו כי דרך חורנים זעקת־שבר יעערו׃ כי־מי נמרים משמות יהיו כי־יבש חציר כלה דשא ירק לא היה׃ על־כן יתרה עשה ופקדתם על נחל הערבים ישאום׃ כי־הקיפה הזעקה את־גבול מואב עד־אגלים יללתה ובאר אילים יללתה׃ כי מי דימון מלאו דם כי־אשית על־דימון נוספות לפליטת מואב אריה ולשארית אדמה׃
Isaiah 15 Text (Greek) το ρημα το κατα της μωαβιτιδος νυκτος απολειται η μωαβιτις νυκτος γαρ απολειται το τειχος της λυπεισθε εφ' εαυτοις απολειται γαρ και δηβων ου ο βωμος υμων εκει αναβησεσθε κλαιειν επι ναβαυ της μωαβιτιδος ολολυζετε επι πασης κεφαλης φαλακρωμα παντες βραχιονες εν ταις πλατειαις αυτης περιζωσασθε σακκους και κοπτεσθε επι των δωματων αυτης και εν ταις ρυμαις αυτης παντες ολολυζετε μετα οτι κεκραγεν εσεβων και ελεαλη εως ιασσα ηκουσθη η φωνη αυτων δια τουτο η οσφυς της μωαβιτιδος βοα η ψυχη αυτης η καρδια της μωαβιτιδος βοα εν αυτη εως σηγωρ δαμαλις γαρ εστιν τριετης επι δε της αναβασεως της λουιθ προς σε κλαιοντες αναβησονται τη οδω αρωνιιμ βοα συντριμμα και το υδωρ της νεμριμ ερημον εσται και ο χορτος αυτης εκλειψει χορτος γαρ χλωρος ουκ μη και ουτως μελλει σωθηναι επαξω γαρ επι την φαραγγα αραβας και λημψονται συνηψεν γαρ η βοη το οριον της μωαβιτιδος της αγαλλιμ και ολολυγμος αυτης εως του φρεατος του το δε υδωρ το ρεμμων πλησθησεται αιματος επαξω γαρ επι ρεμμων αραβας και αρω το σπερμα μωαβ και αριηλ και το καταλοιπον
Isaiah 15 Text (Latin) Onus Moab. Quia nocte vastata est Ar Moab, conticuit ; quia nocte vastatus est murus Moab, conticuit. Ascendit domus, et Dibon ad excelsa, in planctum super Nabo ; et super Medaba, Moab ululavit ; in cunctis capitibus ejus calvitium, et omnis barba radetur. In triviis ejus accincti sunt sacco ; super tecta ejus et in plateis ejus omnis ululatus descendit in fletum. Clamabit Hesebon et Eleale, usque Jasa audita est vox eorum ; super hoc expediti Moab ululabunt, anima ejus ululabit sibi. Cor meum ad Moab clamabit ; vectes ejus usque ad Segor, vitulam conternantem ; per ascensum enim Luith flens ascendet, et in via Oronaim clamorem contritionis levabunt. Aquæ enim Nemrim desertæ erunt, quia aruit herba, defecit germen, viror omnis interiit. Secundum magnitudinem operis, et visitatio eorum : ad torrentem Salicum ducent eos. Quoniam circuivit clamor terminum Moab ; usque ad Gallim ululatus ejus, et usque ad puteum Elim clamor ejus. Quia aquæ Dibon repletæ sunt sanguine ; ponam enim super Dibon additamenta ; his qui fugerint de Moab leonem, et reliquiis terræ.

Because in the night Ar of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence; because in the night Kir of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence; He is gone up to Bajith, and to Dibon, the high places, to weep: Moab shall howl over Nebo, and over Medeba: on all their heads shall be baldness, and every beard cut off. In their streets they shall gird themselves with sackcloth: on the tops of their houses, and in their streets, every one shall howl, weeping abundantly. And Heshbon shall cry, and Elealeh: their voice shall be heard even unto Jahaz: therefore the armed soldiers of Moab shall cry out; his life shall be grievous unto him. My heart shall cry out for Moab; his fugitives shall flee unto Zoar, an heifer of three years old: for by the mounting up of Luhith with weeping shall they go it up; for in the way of Horonaim they shall raise up a cry of destruction. For the waters of Nimrim shall be desolate: for the hay is withered away, the grass faileth, there is no green thing. Therefore the abundance they have gotten, and that which they have laid up, shall they carry away to the brook of the willows. For the cry is gone round about the borders of Moab; the howling thereof unto Eglaim, and the howling thereof unto Beer-elim. For the waters of Dimon shall be full of blood: for I will bring more upon Dimon, lions upon him that escapeth of Moab, and upon the remnant of the land.
