The King James Version (KJV) of the Bible is an early English translation of the Holy Bible into English from 1611 and is still heavily in use today. A common view among some conservative Christians that the KJV is the only valid English translation of Bible or it is at least the most superior translation of the Bible.
History
The movement was officially birthed in 1930 when theologian, Benjamin Wilkinson wrote Our Authorized Bible Vindicated. While it may have existed before 1930, it was popularized when Wilkinson published his book promoting all translations after the KJV to be "corrupted." The movement has gained more traction since the 1930s and today, the KJV remains the most popular English translation.
