Psalm 116 Text (WEB)
  1. I love Yahweh, because he listens to my voice, and my cries for mercy.
  2. Because he has turned his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.
  3. The cords of death surrounded me, the pains of Sheol got a hold of me. I found trouble and sorrow.
  4. Then I called on the name of Yahweh: "Yahweh, I beg you, deliver my soul."
  5. Yahweh is Gracious and righteous. Yes, our God is merciful.
  6. Yahweh preserves the simple. I was brought low, and he saved me.
  7. Return to your rest, my soul, for Yahweh has dealt bountifully with you.
  8. For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
  9. I will walk before Yahweh in the land of the living.
  10. I believed, therefore I said, "I was greatly afflicted."
  11. I said in my haste, "All men are liars."
  12. What will I give to Yahweh for all his benefits toward me?
  13. I will take the cup of salvation, and call on the name of Yahweh.
  14. I will pay my vows to Yahweh, yes, in the presence of all his people.
  15. Precious in the sight of Yahweh is the death of his saints.
  16. Yahweh, truly I am your servant. I am your servant, the son of your handmaid. You have freed me from my chains.
  17. I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call on the name of Yahweh.
  18. I will pay my vows to Yahweh, yes, in the presence of all his people,
  19. in the courts of Yahweh's house, in the midst of you, Jerusalem. Praise Yah!

  1. אהבתי כי־ישמע יהוה את־קולי תחנוני׃
  2. כי־הטה אזנו לי ובימי אקרא׃
  3. אפפוני חבלי־מות ומצרי שאול מצאוני צרה ויגון אמצא׃
  4. ובשם־יהוה אקרא אנה יהוה מלטה נפשי׃
  5. חנון יהוה וצדיק ואלהינו מרחם׃
  6. שמר פתאים יהוה דלותי ולי יהושיע׃
  7. שובי נפשי למנוחיכי כי־יהוה גמל עליכי׃
  8. כי חלצת נפשי ממות את־עיני מן־דמעה את־רגלי מדחי׃
  9. אתהלך לפני יהוה בארצות החיים׃
  10. האמנתי כי אדבר אני עניתי מאד׃
  11. אני אמרתי בחפזי כל־האדם כזב׃
  12. מה־אשיב ליהוה כל־תגמולוהי עלי׃
  13. כוס־ישועות אשא ובשם יהוה אקרא׃
  14. נדרי ליהוה אשלם נגדה־נא לכל־עמו׃
  15. יקר בעיני יהוה המותה לחסידיו׃
  16. אנה יהוה כי־אני עבדך אני־עבדך בן־אמתך פתחת למוסרי׃
  17. לך־אזבח זבח תודה ובשם יהוה אקרא׃
  18. נדרי ליהוה אשלם נגדה־נא לכל־עמו׃
  19. בחצרות בית יהוה בתוככי ירושלם הללו־יה׃

  1. αλληλουια ηγαπησα οτι εισακουσεται κυριος της φωνης της δεησεως
  2. οτι εκλινεν το ους αυτου εμοι και εν ταις ημεραις μου
  3. περιεσχον με ωδινες θανατου κινδυνοι αδου ευροσαν με θλιψιν και οδυνην
  4. και το ονομα κυριου επεκαλεσαμην ω κυριε ρυσαι την ψυχην
  5. ελεημων ο κυριος και δικαιος και ο θεος ημων
  6. φυλασσων τα νηπια ο κυριος εταπεινωθην και εσωσεν
  7. επιστρεψον η ψυχη μου εις την αναπαυσιν σου οτι κυριος ευηργετησεν
  8. οτι εξειλατο την ψυχην μου εκ θανατου τους οφθαλμους μου απο δακρυων και τους ποδας μου απο
  9. ευαρεστησω εναντιον κυριου εν χωρα
  10. αλληλουια επιστευσα διο ελαλησα εγω δε εταπεινωθην
  11. εγω ειπα εν τη εκστασει μου πας ανθρωπος
  12. τι ανταποδωσω τω κυριω περι παντων ων ανταπεδωκεν
  13. ποτηριον σωτηριου λημψομαι και το ονομα κυριου

  1. Alleluja. Dilexi, quoniam exaudiet Dominus vocem orationis meæ.
  2. Quia inclinavit aurem suam mihi, et in diebus meis invocabo.
  3. Circumdederunt me dolores mortis ; et pericula inferni invenerunt me. Tribulationem et dolorem inveni,
  4. et nomen Domini invocavi : o Domine, libera animam meam.
  5. Misericors Dominus et justus, et Deus noster miseretur.
  6. Custodiens parvulos Dominus ; humiliatus sum, et liberavit me.
  7. Convertere, anima mea, in requiem tuam, quia Dominus benefecit tibi ;
  8. quia eripuit animam meam de morte, oculos meos a lacrimis, pedes meos a lapsu.
  9. Placebo Domino in regione vivorum.

  3. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.
  4. Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.
  5. Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.
  6. The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.
  7. Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.
  8. For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
  9. I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
