  1. It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles, that one has his father's wife.
  2. You are puffed up, and didn't rather mourn, that he who had done this deed might be removed from among you.
  3. For I most certainly, as being absent in body but present in spirit, have already, as though I were present, judged him who has done this thing.
  4. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, you being gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
  5. are to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
  6. Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast leavens the whole lump?
  7. Purge out the old yeast, that you may be a new lump, even as you are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, has been sacrificed in our place.
  8. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old yeast, neither with the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
  9. I wrote to you in my letter to have no company with sexual sinners;
  10. yet not at all meaning with the sexual sinners of this world, or with the covetous and extortioners, or with idolaters; for then you would have to leave the world.
  11. But as it is, I wrote to you not to associate with anyone who is called a brother who is a sexual sinner, or covetous, or an idolater, or a slanderer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner. Don't even eat with such a person.
  12. For what have I to do with also judging those who are outside? Don't you judge those who are within?
  13. But those who are outside, God judges. "Put away the wicked man from among yourselves."

  1. שמועה נשמעת בארץ כי נמצאה זנות ביניכם ואף זנות אשר בגוים לא ספר כמוה כי יקח איש את אשת אביו׃
  2. ואתם עוד גבהי רוח תחת אשר היה לכם להתאבל למען יוסר מקרבכם עשה המעשה הזה׃
  3. הן אנכי הרחוק מכם בגופי וקרוב ברוחי כבר דנתי כאלו הייתי אצלכם על האיש אשר עשה כדבר הזה׃
  4. בשם אדנינו ישוע המשיח בהקהלתכם יחד ורוחי אתכם עם גבורת אדנינו ישוע המשיח׃
  5. למסר את האיש ההוא לשטן לאבדן הבשר למען יושע הרוח ביום האדון ישוע׃
  6. לא טוב התהללכם הלא ידעתם כי מעט שאר מחמץ את כל העסה׃
  7. בערו את השאור הישן למען תהיו עסה חדשה הלא לחם מצות אתם כי גם לנו פסחנו הנזבח בעדנו הוא המשיח׃
  8. על כן נחגה נא החג לא בשאר ישן ולא בשאר הרע והרשע כי אם במצות הישר והאמת׃
  9. כתבתי לכם באגרת שלא תתערבו עם הזנים׃
  10. ואין דעתי בזאת על הזנים שבעולם הזה או על בצעי בצע וגזלנים ועבדי אלילים כי אז יהיה לכם לצאת מן העולם׃
  11. אך זאת כתבתי לכם לבלתי התערב עם איש אשר אח יקרא והוא זנה או בצע בצע או עבד אלילים או מגדף או סבא או גזלן עם האיש אשר כזה גם לא תאכלו׃
  12. כי מה לי לשפט את אשר בחוץ הלא תשפטו את אשר בבית׃
  13. ואשר בחוץ האלהים ישפטם ואתם תבערו את הרע מקרבכם׃

  1. ολως ακουεται εν υμιν πορνεια και τοιαυτη πορνεια ητις ουδε εν τοις εθνεσιν ωστε γυναικα τινα του πατρος εχειν
  2. και υμεις πεφυσιωμενοι εστε και ουχι μαλλον επενθησατε ινα αρθη εκ μεσου υμων ο το εργον τουτο πραξας
  3. εγω μεν γαρ απων τω σωματι παρων δε τω πνευματι ηδη κεκρικα ως παρων τον ουτως τουτο κατεργασαμενον
  4. εν τω ονοματι του κυριου ιησου συναχθεντων υμων και του εμου πνευματος συν τη δυναμει του κυριου ημων ιησου
  5. παραδουναι τον τοιουτον τω σατανα εις ολεθρον της σαρκος ινα το πνευμα σωθη εν τη ημερα του κυριου
  6. ου καλον το καυχημα υμων ουκ οιδατε οτι μικρα ζυμη ολον το φυραμα ζυμοι
  7. εκκαθαρατε την παλαιαν ζυμην ινα ητε νεον φυραμα καθως εστε αζυμοι και γαρ το πασχα ημων ετυθη χριστος
  8. ωστε εορταζωμεν μη εν ζυμη παλαια μηδε εν ζυμη κακιας και πονηριας αλλ εν αζυμοις ειλικρινειας και αληθειας
  9. εγραψα υμιν εν τη επιστολη μη συναναμιγνυσθαι πορνοις
  10. ου παντως τοις πορνοις του κοσμου τουτου η τοις πλεονεκταις και αρπαξιν η ειδωλολατραις επει ωφειλετε αρα εκ του κοσμου εξελθειν
  11. νυν δε εγραψα υμιν μη συναναμιγνυσθαι εαν τις αδελφος ονομαζομενος η πορνος η πλεονεκτης η ειδωλολατρης η λοιδορος η μεθυσος η αρπαξ τω τοιουτω μηδε συνεσθιειν
  12. τι γαρ μοι τους εξω κρινειν ουχι τους εσω υμεις κρινετε
  13. τους δε εξω ο θεος κρινει εξαρατε τον πονηρον εξ υμων αυτων

  1. Omnino auditur inter vos fornicatio, et talis fornicatio, qualis nec inter gentes, ita ut uxorem patris sui aliquis habeat.
  2. Et vos inflati estis : et non magis luctum habuistis ut tollatur de medio vestrum qui hoc opus fecit.
  3. Ego quidem absens corpore, præsens autem spiritu, jam judicavi ut præsens eum, qui sic operatus est,
  4. in nomine Domini nostri Jesu Christi, congregatis vobis et meo spiritu, cum virtute Domini nostri Jesu,
  5. tradere hujusmodi Satanæ in interitum carnis, ut spiritus salvus sit in die Domini nostri Jesu Christi.
  6. Non est bona gloriatio vestra. Nescitis quia modicum fermentum totam massam corrumpit ?
  7. Expurgate vetus fermentum, ut sitis nova conspersio, sicut estis azymi. Etenim Pascha nostrum immolatus est Christus.
  8. Itaque epulemur : non in fermento veteri, neque in fermento malitiæ et nequitiæ : sed in azymis sinceritatis et veritatis.
  9. Scripsi in epistola : Ne commisceamini fornicariis :
  10. non utique fornicariis hujus mundi, aut avaris, aut rapacibus, aut idolis servientibus : alioquin debueratis de hoc mundo exiisse.
  11. Nunc autem scripsi vobis non commisceri : si is qui frater nominatur, est fornicator, aut avarus, aut idolis serviens, aut maledicus, aut ebriosus, aut rapax, cum ejusmodi nec cibum sumere.
  12. Quid enim mihi de iis qui foris sunt, judicare ? nonne de iis qui intus sunt, vos judicatis ?
  13. nam eos qui foris sunt, Deus judicabit. Auferte malum ex vobis ipsis.

  1. It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.
  2. And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
  3. For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,
  4. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
  5. To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
  6. Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

  12. For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
  13. But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
