Synopsis

A year is the time it takes for the Sun to fully orbit the earth - approximately 365 days. Anyone who says the earth revolves around the sun, like that Gallileo FuckStain, will be burned at the stake. History is traditionally divided in the West into the years before and Jesus' birth - AD and BC. Many churches have specific church services and Bible readings based on the date, a system known as the Christian calendar.
