Talk:Heaven

I will explain what I mean Muser. (Although the main point of my discussion was that our battles are spiritual, and God has equipped us to have victory over the enemy now, and not wait to be healed and free when we get to heaven).

• 1st heaven=what we see in the natural
• 2nd heaven=where satan's dominion is (and demonic forces)
• 3rd heaven=the throne of God

Here's why.....

2 Cor 12:2-4 Paul knew a man in christ that was caught up to the THIRD HEAVEN (Paradise) into the presence of God. The greek word for heaven here is #3772 in strongs (ouranos). It means heaven as the abode of God.

Heb 4:14 and 1 Peter 3:22 tells us that Jesus Christ, our high priest, has passed through the HEAVENS and is now sitting at the right hand of Father God in heaven. The greek word for heaven here is also (ouranos).

So Father God and Jesus now reside in the THIRD heavens. Because scripture tells us about the third heaven, there must be by reason of deduction a first and second also. I believe the first heaven is what we see in the natural. So what about the SECOND heaven? The bible doesn't call it by name, but I believe it describes it to us.

Isa 14:12 (KJV) Lucifer (Satan) fell from HEAVEN where he led worship and was in God's presence. (Hebrew for heaven=#8064 in strongs.

Eph 2:2 says Satan is the prince of the power of the AIR now. Air=(aer) in the greek signifies the atmosphere. (found in Vines dictionary).

Eph 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in HIGH PLACES." High Places in the greek=#2032 epouranois. Vines dictionary says these high places are of those whose sphere of activity or existence is above, or in contrast to that of the earth, principalities and powers. I take that to mean that they aren't up as high as God, because they were kicked out of the third heaven, but they are higher than the earth (our natural first heaven). That is what I believe is the second heaven.

Eph 3:10 talks about the principalities and powers in HEAVENLY PLACES. The greek word here is also (epouranios #2032 in strongs). It means ABOVE the sky (our natural 1st heaven), celestial, in heaven, high. I believe this is the second heaven.

2 Cor 10:5 "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowlege of God..." HIGH here is strongs #5313 (hupsoma), meaning an elevated place, altitude.

I could keep going on with more evidence from the word to support what I believe, but I hope this gave you something to think about. I would rather talk about more important issues that affect our walk with the Lord. I wrote the original article about the original sin because since I've learned more about spiritual warfare and how to walk in my authority as a child of God, God has shown me how to defeat the real enemy in my life, and develop more intimacy with Him. I was hoping that it would help someone else too. God showed me one reason that my prayers weren't being answered was because I had given the enemy a legal right to be there in my life,and after I defeated him, then my answers would come. I can tell you I am now free of chronic back and neck problems, am off every medicine that I was on for my thyroid, and the list goes on. If we don't know how to fight our enemy and know how he works in our lives, we get frustrated and blame God. As I have shared what God has been doing in my life,Ive found many people were unaware of how the enemy was deceiving them too. Now that they are learning, they are getting victory in there lives too. I'll be interested in your thoughts.
