Writings about Christian themes and ideas constitutes an enormous body of varied writing. Apart from the Bible there are many other works of non-fiction, and also fiction and poetry giving glory to God. Well know works range from fictional books like Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan to non-fictional books like Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis. Authors
The earliest Christian authors were the apostles, such as Paul, who wrote letters to the newly formed churches. In the early centuries, the Apologists wrote texts defending Christianity. More recent famous authors include C.S. Lewis and some famous contemporary authors include Philip Yancey who has written books including What's so amazing about grace?.
