Nine Australians accused of smuggling heroin out of Indonesia, currently being held in prison in Bali, have been told that they will face death by firing squad if convicted of the crime. Colonol Bambang Sugiarto of the Bali police force said

"Article 82 covers exporters, coordinators and organisers, so they are all facing the death penalty."

The arrests have coincided with the trial of Schapelle Corby, a young Australian woman, charged with marijuana smuggling. There is widespread belief in Australia that Schapelle Corby is not guilty and that the drugs were planted on her, however, the same cannot be said for the 9 young Australian men...
