Hebrew ויאמר שאול חטאתי שוב בני־דוד כי לא־ארע לך עוד תחת אשר יקרה נפשי בעיניך היום הזה הנה הסכלתי ואשגה הרבה מאד׃
Greek και ειπεν σαουλ ημαρτηκα επιστρεφε τεκνον δαυιδ οτι ου κακοποιησω σε ανθ' ων εντιμος ψυχη μου εν οφθαλμοις σου εν τη σημερον μεματαιωμαι και ηγνοηκα πολλα
Latin Et ait Saul : Peccavi, revertere fili mi David : nequaquam enim ultra tibi malefaciam, eo quod pretiosa fuerit anima mea in oculis tuis hodie : apparet enim quod stulte egerim, et ignoraverim multa nimis.
KJV Then said Saul, I have sinned: return, my son David: for I will no more do thee harm, because my soul was precious in thine eyes this day: behold, I have played the fool, and have erred exceedingly.
