Psalm 90 begins Book Four of the Psalter. [[Psalms]] 90--106 are compared by some to the Book of Numbers, because they cover the wilderness wanderings. They describe the experiences of [[God]]'s people in the wilderness and the glory for [[Israel]] and the nations following the wilderness period.

In Psalm 90, we are shown man's fallen condition; while in Psalm 91 we are shown redeemed man in fellowship with [[God]], and his dependence upon [[God]]. He walks among men in the secret place and under the shadow of the Almighty.

Psalm 92 is a song of praise for ultimate rest as a result of [[God]]'s work of redemption (verse 4); His conquest of the enemies of His people (verses 5-9); and His favor to His own (verses 10-15).

In Psalm 93 the majesty and strength of the [[Lord]] are displayed. Our [[God]] is not only kind and gracious, but strong and mighty. Nothing is too hard for the [[Lord]]. Verse 2 tells us, "Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting." We serve a great [[God]] who is bigger than all our problems. What a tragedy that we seldom call on Him except in times of emergency and crisis! [[God]] wants to be our Friend every moment of every day.

In Psalm 94 we learn that [[God]] is a [[God]] of [[judgment]]. He knows all about us. Verse 11 says, "The [[Lord]] knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity." Nothing is hidden from the [[Lord]]. If we could but develop a consciousness of the moment by moment presence of the [[Lord]] in our lives, it would be easy to live a holy life. He lives within us. Let us daily acknowledge His omniscience.
