I'd recommend the "adapted from Theopedia" be removed from the title and instead inserted at the bottom of the article. Or perhaps make a template for articles adapted from Theopedia. Articles on Theopedia are under the FDL, much like articles on Wikichristian. I think that having the "adapted" part in the title sometimes discourages future contributors from changes portions of it. Absolutely. I agree. Rename the file

I moved it again to remove Theopedia completely from the title. I'll add an "adapted from theopedia" notice at the bottom of the page. My thinking is this is how we should do all theopedia and wikipedia articles. My logic is that once we copy and paste, we have forked the article, and therefore we are going to take it in a different direction then theopedia or wikipedia would, hence it becomes distinctly ours. I've noticed that the inclusion of the Category:Stub link doesn't appear to actually add the articles to the Stub Category. Because of this I've been including the Category:Stub tag seperatly on stub pages. Can someone verify that it must be seperate from the template? == Statistics? ==

Hi Prab, I just had a quick question about something before I head off and start a paper (For Dan-Rev...yay!). Anyway, my question was were are our statistics? Most wiki's have a statistics link right on front page (Currently working on xxxxx articles) and you can click on the number and see some statistics. I know we're using media wiki so the functionality must be there. Is there a reason we don't currently have a link to statistics?

It has been a pleasure for me too and I appreciate the wonderful spirit you have and the innovative ideas you bring in. You and Graham have been wonderful friends.

As per the statistics, we just did not want to have them on the mainpage as yet since we would like to grow to a reasonable number of articles before we can have them on the front page.

Just a note on the vision -

Let us keep the vision of wikichristian broad, to be a meta christian resource linking and reviewing everything christian on the planet and creating content where there is none. We do not have to or want to "reinvent the wheel", if the work has already been done somewhere on the internet, we will just review and link it.

Prab, agreed about the vision. I think that the only time we need to "reinvent" the wheel is if something isn't being maintained (ie, Easton's Bible Dictionary is 100 years old and we can help to update it in a wiki environment...some with the KJV, though WEB is doing something like that, just not in a wiki environment. I view our stuff with the KJV to be more like making a study bible). Have I done something that doens't line up with keeping the vision broad? My idea with the goals is just to give us something to shoot for, not to limit what we can do. But kindda to set priorities...could I word something differently to not limit us? I was just thinking about something. If we call this Easton's Bible Dictionary...that's okay. But as we review and edit and add to it (you know, do those things that make a wiki a wiki) it will eventually be quite different from the original EBD. Maybe we should change the name to "WikiChristian's Bible Dictionary" and just say that it is BASED on the EBD. That way a year or two down the road, when we've edited things with it...we are still acurrate in the name. What does everyone think? I think it makes perfect sense to change the name since the idea was to develop a free wiki bible dictionary. Since we do not want to reinvent the wheel, we would like to use what ever is already in the public domain. EBD is one of the Bible Dictionaries in the PD but there are others also. We will change the name to WikiChristian's [[Free Bible Dictionary]] or in short FBD. Thanks for the excellent point. Prab, I think this makes sense. I looked through the recent changes and I was like..."wow." Thanks for saving me the trouble of moving most of the stuff! One last question....do we want the FBD pages to link to the main article (ie, "Abraham") or do we want them to link to the FBD page (ie "Free_Bible_Dictionary:Abraham") I know that in some cases we have a great number of articles written about someone (take Peter for instance. The "Peter" article links to Graham's article on the papacy, a short biography of Peter, and eventually it will also link to the FBD article on Peter. So, in my thinking we'll want the FBD index pages to just link directly to the FBD article and save users an extra click...but what does everyone else think?
