Commentary

Stephen, a Hellenized Jew, is introduced in verse 8 as a godly man. The terminolgoy used, is the same as that used for the twelve apostles.

Greek στεφανος δε πληρης χαριτος και δυναμεως εποιει τερατα και σημεια μεγαλα εν τω λαω
Latin Stephanus autem plenus gratia et fortitudine, faciebat prodigia et signa magna in populo.
