Hebrew ויאמר לו מדוע אתה ככה דל בן־המלך בבקר בבקר הלוא תגיד לי ויאמר לו אמנון את־תמר אחות אבשלם אחי אני אהב׃
Greek και ειπεν αυτω τι σοι οτι συ ουτως ασθενης υιε του βασιλεως το πρωι πρωι ουκ απαγγελεις μοι και ειπεν αυτω αμνων θημαρ την αδελφην αβεσσαλωμ του αδελφου μου εγω
Latin Qui dixit ad eum : Quare sic attenuaris macie, fili regis, per singulos dies ? cur non indicas mihi ? Dixitque ei Amnon : Thamar sororem fratris mei Absalom amo.
KJV And he said unto him, Why art thou, being the king's son, lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom's sister.
