Administrators

Follow this procedure when banning a persistent vandal who has been warned and blocked previously, but refuses to contribute constructively:

  1. Block the user indefinitely by using Special:Blockip.
  2. Leave the banning template on the vandal's talk page, which will inform him/her of the ban, and the reason(s) for it (instructions for using the template are on the template's page).
  3. Place this template on the user's userpage (deleting the old one first if it has a history) by using this code: {{banned|REASON}}, replacing REASON with the reason(s) for the ban (ex., mass vandalism).
  4. Fully protect the banned user's userpage.
