In the article it says its a major christian denomination. I think it should be changed to biggest christian denom because it is. The peace of god be upon you.--Sir James Paul 12:05, 27 May 2007 (EST)

It might be better to say that the protestant churches split away from the Roman Catholic Church based on differences in opinion of doctrine, especially the issue of "Justification by faith ALONE" versus "Justificattion by faith INCLUDING works".

Catholic doctrine does not teach that faith AND works are necessary but that faith has to include works.
