Psalm 97 Text (WEB)
  1. Yahweh reigns! Let the earth rejoice! Let the multitude of islands be glad!
  2. Clouds and darkness are around him. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
  3. A fire goes before him, and burns up his adversaries on every side.
  4. His lightning lights up the world. The earth sees, and trembles.
  5. The mountains melt like wax at the presence of Yahweh, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
  6. The heavens declare his righteousness. All the peoples have seen his glory.
  7. Let all them be shamed who serve engraved images, who boast in their idols. Worship him, all you gods!
  8. Zion heard and was glad. The daughters of Judah rejoiced, because of your judgments, Yahweh.
  9. For you, Yahweh, are most high above all the earth. You are exalted far above all gods.
  10. You who love Yahweh, hate evil. He preserves the souls of his saints. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.
  11. Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.
  12. Be glad in Yahweh, you righteous people! Give thanks to his holy Name. A Psalm.

  1. יהוה מלך תגל הארץ ישמחו איים רבים׃
  2. עןן וערפל סביביו צדק ומשפט מכון כסאו׃
  3. אש לפניו תלך ותלהט סביב צריו׃
  4. האירו ברקיו תבל ראתה ותחל הארץ׃
  5. הרים כדונג נמסו מלפני יהוה מלפני אדון כל־הארץ׃
  6. הגידו השמים צדקו וראו כל־העמים כבודו׃
  7. יבשו כל־עבדי פסל המתהללים באלילים השתחוו־לו כל־אלהים׃
  8. שמעה ותשמח ציון ותגלנה בנות יהודה למען משפטיך יהוה׃
  9. כי־אתה יהוה עליון על־כל־הארץ מאד נעלית על־כל־אלהים׃
  10. אהבי יהוה שנאו רע שמר נפשות חסידיו מיד רשעים יצילם׃
  11. אור זרע לצדיק ולישרי־לב שמחה׃
  12. שמחו צדיקים ביהוה והודו לזכר קדשו׃

  1. τω δαυιδ οτε η γη αυτου καθισταται ο κυριος εβασιλευσεν αγαλλιασθω η γη ευφρανθητωσαν νησοι
  2. νεφελη και γνοφος κυκλω αυτου δικαιοσυνη και κριμα κατορθωσις του θρονου
  3. πυρ εναντιον αυτου προπορευσεται και φλογιει κυκλω τους εχθρους
  4. εφαναν αι αστραπαι αυτου τη οικουμενη ειδεν και εσαλευθη η
  5. τα ορη ετακησαν ωσει κηρος απο προσωπου κυριου απο προσωπου κυριου πασης της
  6. ανηγγειλαν οι ουρανοι την δικαιοσυνην αυτου και ειδοσαν παντες οι λαοι την δοξαν
  7. αισχυνθητωσαν παντες οι προσκυνουντες τοις γλυπτοις οι εγκαυχωμενοι εν τοις ειδωλοις αυτων προσκυνησατε αυτω παντες οι αγγελοι
  8. ηκουσεν και ευφρανθη σιων και ηγαλλιασαντο αι θυγατερες της ιουδαιας ενεκεν των κριματων σου
  9. οτι συ ει κυριος ο υψιστος επι πασαν την γην σφοδρα υπερυψωθης υπερ παντας τους
  10. οι αγαπωντες τον κυριον μισειτε πονηρον φυλασσει κυριος τας ψυχας των οσιων αυτου εκ χειρος αμαρτωλων ρυσεται
  11. φως ανετειλεν τω δικαιω και τοις ευθεσι τη καρδια
  12. ευφρανθητε δικαιοι επι τω κυριω και εξομολογεισθε τη μνημη της αγιωσυνης

  1. Huic David, quando terra ejus restituta est. Dominus regnavit ; exsultet terra ; lætentur insulæ multæ.
  2. Nubes et caligo in circuitu ejus ; justitia et judicium correctio sedis ejus.
  3. Ignis ante ipsum præcedet, et inflammabit in circuitu inimicos ejus.
  4. Illuxerunt fulgura ejus orbi terræ ; vidit, et commota est terra.
  5. Montes sicut cera fluxerunt a facie Domini ; a facie Domini omnis terra.
  6. Annuntiaverunt cæli justitiam ejus ; et viderunt omnes populi gloriam ejus.
  7. Confundantur omnes qui adorant sculptilia, et qui gloriantur in simulacris suis. Adorate eum omnes angeli ejus.
  8. Audivit, et lætata est Sion ; et exsultaverunt filiæ Judæ, propter judicia tua, Domine.
  9. Quoniam tu Dominus altissimus super omnem terram ; nimis exaltatus es super omnes deos.
  10. Qui diligitis Dominum, odite malum ; custodit Dominus animas sanctorum suorum, de manu peccatoris liberabit eos.

  7. Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods.
  8. Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD.
  9. For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.
