Psalm 3 Text (WEB) Yahweh, how my adversaries have increased! Many are those who rise up against me. Many there are who say of my soul, "There is no help for him in God." Selah. But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. I cry to Yahweh with my voice, and he answers me out of his holy hill. Selah. I laid myself down and slept. I awakened; for Yahweh sustains me. I will not be afraid of tens of thousands of people who have set themselves against me on every side. Arise, Yahweh! Save me, my God! For you have struck all of my enemies on the cheek bone. You have broken the teeth of the wicked. Salvation belongs to Yahweh. Your blessing be on your people. Selah. Psalm 3 Text (Hebrew) יהוה מה־רבו צרי רבים קמים עלי׃ רבים אמרים לנפשי אין ישועתה לו באלהים סלה׃ ואתה יהוה מגן בעדי כבודי ומרים ראשי׃ קולי אל־יהוה אקרא ויענני מהר קדשו סלה׃ אני שכבתי ואישנה הקיצותי כי יהוה יסמכני׃ לא־אירא מרבבות עם אשר סביב שתו עלי׃ קומה יהוה הושיעני אלהי כי־הכית את־כל־איבי לחי שני רשעים שברת׃ ליהוה הישועה על־עמך ברכתך סלה׃
Psalm 3 Text (Greek) κυριε τι επληθυνθησαν οι θλιβοντες με πολλοι επανιστανται επ' πολλοι λεγουσιν τη ψυχη μου ουκ εστιν σωτηρια αυτω εν τω θεω αυτου συ δε κυριε αντιλημπτωρ μου ει δοξα μου και υψων την κεφαλην φωνη μου προς κυριον εκεκραξα και επηκουσεν μου εξ ορους αγιου αυτου εγω εκοιμηθην και υπνωσα εξηγερθην οτι κυριος αντιλημψεται ου φοβηθησομαι απο μυριαδων λαου των κυκλω συνεπιτιθεμενων αναστα κυριε σωσον με ο θεος μου οτι συ επαταξας παντας τους εχθραινοντας μοι ματαιως οδοντας αμαρτωλων του κυριου η σωτηρια και επι τον λαον σου η ευλογια
Psalm 3 Text (Latin) Psalmus David, cum fugeret a facie Absalom filii sui. multi dicunt animæ meæ : Non est salus ipsi in Deo ejus. Tu autem Domine, susceptor meus es, gloria mea, et exaltans caput meum. Voce mea ad Dominum clamavi ; et exaudivit me de monte sancto suo. Ego dormivi, et soporatus sum ; et exsurrexi, quia Dominus suscepit me. Non timebo millia populi circumdantis me. Exsurge, Domine ; salvum me fac, Deus meus. Quoniam tu percussisti omnes adversantes mihi sine causa ; dentes peccatorum contrivisti. Domini est salus ; et super populum tuum benedictio tua.
Psalm 3 Text (KJV) LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me. Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah. But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah. I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about. Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly. Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.
