Psalm 149 Text (WEB)
  1. Praise Yahweh! Sing to Yahweh a new song, his praise in the assembly of the saints.
  2. Let Israel rejoice in him who made them. Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
  3. Let them praise his name in the dance! Let them sing praises to him with tambourine and harp!
  4. For Yahweh takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with salvation.
  5. Let the saints rejoice in honor. Let them sing for joy on their beds.
  6. May the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hand;
  7. To execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples;
  8. To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
  9. to execute on them the written judgment. All his saints have this honor. Praise Yah!

  1. הללו יה שירו ליהוה שיר חדש תהלתו בקהל חסידים׃
  2. ישמח ישראל בעשיו בני־ציון יגילו במלכם׃
  3. יהללו שמו במחול בתף וכנור יזמרו־לו׃
  4. כי־רוצה יהוה בעמו יפאר ענוים בישועה׃
  5. יעלזו חסידים בכבוד ירננו על־משכבותם׃
  6. רוממות אל בגרונם וחרב פיפיות בידם׃
  7. לעשות נקמה בגוים תוכחת בל־אמים׃
  8. לאסר מלכיהם בזקים ונכבדיהם בכבלי ברזל׃
  9. לעשות בהם משפט כתוב הדר הוא לכל־חסידיו הללו־יה׃

  1. αλληλουια ασατε τω κυριω ασμα καινον η αινεσις αυτου εν εκκλησια
  2. ευφρανθητω ισραηλ επι τω ποιησαντι αυτον και υιοι σιων αγαλλιασθωσαν επι τω βασιλει
  3. αινεσατωσαν το ονομα αυτου εν χορω εν τυμπανω και ψαλτηριω ψαλατωσαν
  4. οτι ευδοκει κυριος εν λαω αυτου και υψωσει πραεις εν
  5. καυχησονται οσιοι εν δοξη και αγαλλιασονται επι των κοιτων
  6. αι υψωσεις του θεου εν τω λαρυγγι αυτων και ρομφαιαι διστομοι εν ταις χερσιν
  7. του ποιησαι εκδικησιν εν τοις εθνεσιν ελεγμους εν τοις
  8. του δησαι τους βασιλεις αυτων εν πεδαις και τους ενδοξους αυτων εν χειροπεδαις
  9. του ποιησαι εν αυτοις κριμα εγγραπτον δοξα αυτη εστιν πασι τοις οσιοις

  1. Alleluja. Cantate Domino canticum novum ; laus ejus in ecclesia sanctorum.
  2. Lætetur Israël in eo qui fecit eum, et filii Sion exsultent in rege suo.
  3. Laudent nomen ejus in choro, in tympano et psalterio psallant ei.
  4. Quia beneplacitum est Domino in populo suo, et exaltabit mansuetos in salutem.
  5. Exsultabunt sancti in gloria, lætabuntur in cubilibus suis.
  6. Exaltationes Dei in gutture eorum : et gladii ancipites in manibus eorum :
  7. ad faciendam vindictam in nationibus, increpationes in populis ;
  8. ad alligandos reges eorum in compedibus, et nobiles eorum in manicis ferreis ;
  9. ut faciant in eis judicium conscriptum : gloria hæc est omnibus sanctis ejus. Alleluja.

  1. Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.
  2. Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
  3. Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.
  4. For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.
  5. Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.
  6. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;
  7. To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;
  8. To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
  9. To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.
