  1. Blessed is everyone who fears Yahweh, who walks in his ways.
  2. For you will eat the labor of your hands. You will be happy, and it will be well with you.
  3. Your wife will be as a fruitful vine, in the innermost parts of your house; your children like olive plants, around your table.
  4. Behold, thus is the man blessed who fears Yahweh.
  5. May Yahweh bless you out of Zion, and may you see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life.
  6. Yes, may you see your children's children. Peace be upon Israel. A Song of Ascents.

  1. שיר המעלות אשרי כל־ירא יהוה ההלך בדרכיו׃
  2. יגיע כפיך כי תאכל אשריך וטוב לך׃
  3. אשתך׃ כגפן פריה בירכתי ביתך בניך כשתלי זיתים סביב לשלחנך׃
  4. הנה כי־כן יברך גבר ירא יהוה׃
  5. יברךך יהוה מציון וראה בטוב ירושלם כל ימי חייך׃
  6. וראה־בנים לבניך שלום על־ישראל׃

  1. ωδη των αναβαθμων μακαριοι παντες οι φοβουμενοι τον κυριον οι πορευομενοι εν ταις οδοις
  2. τους πονους των καρπων σου φαγεσαι μακαριος ει και καλως σοι
  3. η γυνη σου ως αμπελος ευθηνουσα εν τοις κλιτεσι της οικιας σου οι υιοι σου ως νεοφυτα ελαιων κυκλω της τραπεζης
  4. ιδου ουτως ευλογηθησεται ανθρωπος ο φοβουμενος τον
  5. ευλογησαι σε κυριος εκ σιων και ιδοις τα αγαθα ιερουσαλημ πασας τας ημερας της ζωης
  6. και ιδοις υιους των υιων σου ειρηνη επι τον

  1. Canticum graduum. Beati omnes qui timent Dominum, qui ambulant in viis ejus.
  2. Labores manuum tuarum quia manducabis, beatus es, et bene tibi erit.
  3. Uxor tua sicut vitis abundans, in lateribus domus tuæ ; filii tui sicut novellæ olivarum in circuitu mensæ tuæ.
  4. Ecce sic benedicetur homo qui timet Dominum.
  5. Benedicat tibi Dominus ex Sion, et videas bona Jerusalem omnibus diebus vitæ tuæ ;
  6. et videas filios filiorum tuorum, pacem super Israël.

  1. Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.
  2. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
  3. Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
  4. Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.
  5. The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
  6. Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children, and peace upon Israel.
