Commentary
The sixth chapter of Matthew records part of the famous talk given by Jesus known as the Sermon on the Mount. In the passage Jesus calls on his hearers to not worry about the temporary things of this world, but to have an eternal perspective and to seek first God's Kingdom. These famous words are recorded in Matthew 6:33
- But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
