Hebrew אין מדליק נר אשר ישימהו בסתר או תחת האיפה כי אם על המנורה למען יראו באי הבית את אורו׃
Greek ουδεις λυχνον αψας εις κρυπτην τιθησιν αλλ επι την λυχνιαν ινα οι εισπορευομενοι το φως βλεπωσιν
Latin Nemo lucernam accendit, et in abscondito ponit, neque sub modio : sed supra candelabrum, ut qui ingrediuntur, lumen videant.
KJV No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.
