Hebrew וירא יוסף את־אחיו ויכרם ויתנכר אליהם וידבר אתם קשות ויאמר אלהם מאין באתם ויאמרו מארץ כנען לשבר־אכל׃
Greek ιδων δε ιωσηφ τους αδελφους αυτου επεγνω και ηλλοτριουτο απ' αυτων και ελαλησεν αυτοις σκληρα και ειπεν αυτοις ποθεν ηκατε οι δε ειπαν εκ γης χανααν αγορασαι
Latin et agnovisset eos, quasi ad alienos durius loquebatur, interrogans eos : Unde venistis ? Qui responderunt : De terra Chanaan, ut emamus victui necessaria.
KJV And Joseph saw his brethren, and he knew them, but made himself strange unto them, and spake roughly unto them; and he said unto them, Whence come ye? And they said, From the land of Canaan to buy food.
