- Now these are the names of the tribes: From the north end, beside the way of Hethlon to the entrance of Hamath, Hazar Enan at the border of Damascus, northward beside Hamath, (and they shall have their sides east [and] west), Dan, one [portion].
- By the border of Dan, from the east side to the west side, Asher, one [portion].
- By the border of Asher, from the east side even to the west side, Naphtali, one [portion].
- By the border of Naphtali, from the east side to the west side, Manasseh, one [portion].
- By the border of Manasseh, from the east side to the west side, Ephraim, one [portion].
- By the border of Ephraim, from the east side even to the west side, Reuben, one [portion].
- By the border of Reuben, from the east side to the west side, Judah, one [portion].
- By the border of Judah, from the east side to the west side, shall be the offering which you shall offer, twenty-five thousand [reeds] in breadth, and in length as one of the portions, from the east side to the west side: and the sanctuary shall be in its midst.
- The offering that you shall offer to Yahweh shall be twenty-five thousand [reeds] in length, and ten thousand in breadth.
- For these, even for the priests, shall be the holy offering: toward the north twenty-five thousand [in length], and toward the west ten thousand in breadth, and toward the east ten thousand in breadth, and toward the south twenty-five thousand in length: and the sanctuary of Yahweh shall be in its midst.
- [It shall be] for the priests who are sanctified of the sons of Zadok, who have kept my instruction, who didn't go astray when the children of Israel went astray, as the Levites went astray.
- It shall be to them an offering from the offering of the land, a thing most holy, by the border of the Levites.
- Answerable to the border of the priests, the Levites shall have twenty-five thousand in length, and ten thousand in breadth: all the length shall be twenty-five thousand, and the breadth ten thousand.
- They shall sell none of it, nor exchange it, nor shall the first fruits of the land be alienated; for it is holy to Yahweh.
- The five thousand that are left in the breadth, in front of the twenty-five thousand, shall be for common use, for the city, for dwelling and for suburbs; and the city shall be in its midst.
- These shall be its measures: the north side four thousand and five hundred, and the south side four thousand and five hundred, and on the east side four thousand and five hundred, and the west side four thousand and five hundred.
- The city shall have suburbs: toward the north two hundred fifty, and toward the south two hundred fifty, and toward the east two hundred fifty, and toward the west two hundred fifty.
- The remainder in the length, answerable to the holy offering, shall be ten thousand eastward, and ten thousand westward; and it shall be answerable to the holy offering; and its increase shall be for food to those who labor in the city.
- Those who labor in the city, out of all the tribes of Israel, shall cultivate it.
- All the offering shall be twenty-five thousand by twenty-five thousand: you shall offer the holy offering foursquare, with the possession of the city.
- The residue shall be for the prince, on the one side and on the other of the holy offering and of the possession of the city; in front of the twenty-five thousand of the offering toward the east border, and westward in front of the twenty-five thousand toward the west border, answerable to the portions, it shall be for the prince: and the holy offering and the sanctuary of the house shall be in its midst.
- Moreover from the possession of the Levites, and from the possession of the city, being in the midst of that which is the prince's, between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin, it shall be for the prince.
- As for the rest of the tribes: from the east side to the west side, Benjamin, one [portion].
- By the border of Benjamin, from the east side to the west side, Simeon, one [portion].
- By the border of Simeon, from the east side to the west side, Issachar, one [portion].
- By the border of Issachar, from the east side to the west side, Zebulun, one [portion].
- By the border of Zebulun, from the east side to the west side, Gad, one [portion].
- By the border of Gad, at the south side southward, the border shall be even from Tamar to the waters of Meribath Kadesh, to the brook [of Egypt], to the great sea.
- This is the land which you shall divide by lot to the tribes of Israel for inheritance, and these are their several portions, says the Lord Yahweh.
- These are the exits of the city: On the north side four thousand and five hundred [reeds] by measure;
- and the gates of the city shall be after the names of the tribes of Israel, three gates northward: the gate of Reuben, one; the gate of Judah, one; the gate of Levi, one.
- At the east side four thousand and five hundred [reeds], and three gates: even the gate of Joseph, one; the gate of Benjamin, one; the gate of Dan, one.
- At the south side four thousand and five hundred [reeds] by measure, and three gates: the gate of Simeon, one; the gate of Issachar, one; the gate of Zebulun, one.
- At the west side four thousand and five hundred [reeds], with their three gates: the gate of Gad, one; the gate of Asher, one; the gate of Naphtali, one.
- It shall be eighteen thousand [reeds] around: and the name of the city from that day shall be, Yahweh is there.

- ואלה שמות השבטים מקצה צפונה אל־יד דרך־חתלן לבוא־חמת חצר עיןן גבול דמשק צפונה אל־יד חמת והיו־לו פאת־קדים הים דן אחד׃
- ועל גבול דן מפאת קדים עד־פאת־ימה אשר אחד׃
- ועל גבול אשר מפאת קדימה ועד־פאת־ימה נפתלי אחד׃
- ועל גבול נפתלי מפאת קדמה עד־פאת־ימה מנשה אחד׃
- ועל גבול מנשה מפאת קדמה עד־פאת־ימה אפרים אחד׃
- ועל גבול אפרים מפאת קדים ועד־פאת־ימה ראובן אחד׃
- ועל גבול ראובן מפאת קדים עד־פאת־ימה יהודה אחד׃
- ועל גבול יהודה מפאת קדים עד־פאת־ימה תהיה התרומה אשר־תרימו חמשה ועשרים אלף רחב וארך כאחד החלקים מפאת קדימה עד־פאת־ימה והיה המקדש בתוכו׃
- התרומה אשר תרימו ליהוה ארך חמשה ועשרים אלף ורחב עשרת אלפים׃
- ולאלה תהיה תרומת־הקדש לכהנים צפונה חמשה ועשרים אלף וימה רחב עשרת אלפים וקדימה רחב עשרת אלפים ונגבה ארך חמשה ועשרים אלף והיה מקדש־יהוה בתוכו׃
- לכהנים המקדש מבני צדוק אשר שמרו משמרתי אשר לא־תעו בתעות בני ישראל כאשר תעו הלוים׃ ס
- והיתה להם תרומיה מתרומת הארץ קדש קדשים אל־גבול הלוים׃
- והלוים לעמת גבול הכהנים חמשה ועשרים אלף ארך ורחב עשרת אלפים כל־ארך חמשה ועשרים אלף ורחב עשרת אלפים׃
- ולא־ימכרו ממנו ולא ימר ולא ראשית הארץ כי־קדש ליהוה׃
- וחמשת אלפים הנותר ברחב על־פני חמשה ועשרים אלף חל־הוא לעיר למושב ולמגרש והיתה העיר ׃
- ואלה מדותיה פאת צפון חמש מאות וארבעת אלפים ופאת־נגב חמש מאות וארבעת אלפים ומפאת קדים חמש מאות וארבעת אלפים ופאת־ימה חמש מאות וארבעת אלפים׃
- והיה מגרש לעיר צפונה חמשים ומאתים ונגבה חמשים ומאתים וקדימה חמשים ומאתים וימה חמשים ומאתים׃
- והנותר בארך לעמת תרומת הקדש עשרת אלפים קדימה ועשרת אלפים ימה והיה לעמת תרומת הקדש והיתה ללחם לעבדי העיר׃
- והעבד העיר יעבדוהו מכל שבטי ישראל׃
- כל־התרומה חמשה ועשרים אלף בחמשה ועשרים אלף רביעית תרימו את־תרומת הקדש אל־אחזת העיר׃
- והנותר לנשיא מזה ומזה לתרומת־הקדש ולאחזת העיר אל־פני חמשה ועשרים אלף תרומה עד־גבול קדימה וימה על־פני חמשה ועשרים אלף על־גבול ימה לעמת חלקים לנשיא והיתה תרומת הקדש ומקדש הבית ׃
- ומאחזת הלוים ומאחזת העיר בתוך אשר לנשיא יהיה בין גבול יהודה ובין גבול בנימן לנשיא יהיה׃
- ויתר השבטים מפאת קדימה עד־פאת־ימה בנימן אחד׃
- ועל גבול בנימן מפאת קדימה עד־פאת־ימה שמעון אחד׃
- ועל גבול שמעון מפאת קדימה עד־פאת־ימה יששכר אחד׃
- ועל גבול יששכר מפאת קדימה עד־פאת־ימה זבולן אחד׃
- ועל גבול זבולן מפאת קדמה עד־פאת־ימה גד אחד׃
- ועל גבול גד אל־פאת נגב תימנה והיה גבול מתמר מי מריבת קדש נחלה על־הים הגדול׃

- ואלה תוצאת העיר מפאת צפון חמש מאות וארבעת אלפים מדה׃
- ושערי העיר על־שמות שבטי ישראל שערים שלושה צפונה שער ראובן אחד שער יהודה אחד שער לוי אחד׃
- ואל־פאת קדימה חמש מאות וארבעת אלפים ושערים שלשה ושער יוסף אחד שער בנימן אחד שער דן אחד׃
- ופאת־נגבה חמש מאות וארבעת אלפים מדה ושערים שלשה שער שמעון אחד שער יששכר אחד שער זבולן אחד׃

- Et hæc nomina tribuum a finibus aquilonis, juxta viam Hethalon, pergentibus Emath, atrium Enan terminus Damasci ad aquilonem, juxta viam Emath : et erit ei plaga orientalis mare, Dan una.
- Et super terminum Dan, a plaga orientali usque ad plagam maris, Aser una.
- Et super terminum Aser, a plaga orientali usque ad plagam maris, Nephthali una.
- Et super terminum Nephthali, a plaga orientali usque ad plagam maris, Manasse una.
- Et super terminum Manasse, a plaga orientali usque ad plagam maris, Ephraim una.
- Et super terminum Ephraim, a plaga orientali usque ad plagam maris, Ruben una.
- Et super terminum Ruben, a plaga orientali usque ad plagam maris, Juda una.
- Et super terminum Juda, a plaga orientali usque ad plagam maris, erunt primitiæ quas separabitis, viginti quinque millibus latitudinis et longitudinis, sicuti singulæ partes a plaga orientali usque ad plagam maris : et erit sanctuarium in medio ejus.
- Primitiæ quas separabitis Domino, longitudo viginti quinque millibus, et latitudo decem millibus.
- Hæ autem erunt primitiæ sanctuarii sacerdotum, ad aquilonem longitudinis viginti quinque millia, et ad mare latitudinis decem millia, sed et ad orientem latitudinis decem millia, et ad meridiem longitudinis viginti quinque millia : et erit sanctuarium Domini in medio ejus.
- Sacerdotibus sanctuarium erit de filiis Sadoc, qui custodierunt cæremonias meas, et non erraverunt cum errarent filii Israël, sicut erraverunt et Levitæ.
- Et erunt eis primitiæ de primitiis terræ Sanctum sanctorum, juxta terminum Levitarum.
- Sed et Levitis similiter, juxta fines sacerdotum, viginti quinque millia longitudinis, et latitudinis decem millia. Omnis longitudo viginti et quinque millium, et latitudo decem millium.
- Et non venundabunt ex eo, neque mutabunt : neque transferentur primitiæ terræ, quia sanctificatæ sunt Domino.
- Quinque millia autem quæ supersunt in latitudine per viginti quinque millia, profana erunt urbis in habitaculum et in suburbana : et erit civitas in medio ejus.
- Et hæ mensuræ ejus : ad plagam septentrionalem, quingenta et quatuor millia : et ad plagam meridianam, quingenta et quatuor millia : et ad plagam orientalem, quingenta et quatuor millia : et ad plagam occidentalem, quingenta et quatuor millia.
- Erunt autem suburbana civitatis ad aquilonem, ducenta quinquaginta : et ad meridiem, ducenta quinquaginta : et ad orientem, ducenta quinquaginta : et ad mare, ducenta quinquaginta.
- Quod autem reliquum fuerit in longitudine secundum primitias sanctuarii, decem millia in orientem, et decem millia in occidentem, erunt sicut primitiæ sanctuarii : et erunt fruges ejus in panes his qui serviunt civitati.
- Servientes autem civitati, operabuntur ex omnibus tribubus Israël.
- Omnes primitiæ viginti quinque millium, per viginti quinque millia in quadrum, separabuntur in primitias sanctuarii, et in possessionem civitatis.
- Quod autem reliquum fuerit, principis erit ex omni parte primitiarum sanctuarii, et possessionis civitatis e regione viginti quinque millium primitiarum usque ad terminum orientalem : sed et ad mare, e regione viginti quinque millium, usque ad terminum maris, similiter in partibus principis erit : et erunt primitiæ sanctuarii, et sanctuarium templi, in medio ejus.
- De possessione autem Levitarum, et de possessione civitatis in medio partium principis, erit inter terminum Juda et inter terminum Benjamin, et ad principem pertinebit.

- Now these are the names of the tribes. From the north end to the coast of the way of Hethlon, as one goeth to Hamath, Hazar-enan, the border of Damascus northward, to the coast of Hamath; for these are his sides east and west; a portion for Dan.
- And by the border of Dan, from the east side unto the west side, a portion for Asher.
- And by the border of Asher, from the east side even unto the west side, a portion for Naphtali.
- And by the border of Naphtali, from the east side unto the west side, a portion for Manasseh.
- And by the border of Manasseh, from the east side unto the west side, a portion for Ephraim.
- And by the border of Ephraim, from the east side even unto the west side, a portion for Reuben.
- And by the border of Reuben, from the east side unto the west side, a portion for Judah.
- And by the border of Judah, from the east side unto the west side, shall be the offering which ye shall offer of five and twenty thousand reeds in breadth, and in length as one of the other parts, from the east side unto the west side: and the sanctuary shall be in the midst of it.
- The oblation that ye shall offer unto the LORD shall be of five and twenty thousand in length, and of ten thousand in breadth.
- And for them, even for the priests, shall be this holy oblation; toward the north five and twenty thousand in length, and toward the west ten thousand in breadth, and toward the east ten thousand in breadth, and toward the south five and twenty thousand in length: and the sanctuary of the LORD shall be in the midst thereof.
- It shall be for the priests that are sanctified of the sons of Zadok; which have kept my charge, which went not astray when the children of Israel went astray, as the Levites went astray.
- And this oblation of the land that is offered shall be unto them a thing most holy by the border of the Levites.

- And the suburbs of the city shall be toward the north two hundred and fifty, and toward the south two hundred and fifty, and toward the east two hundred and fifty, and toward the west two hundred and fifty.
- And the residue in length over against the oblation of the holy portion shall be ten thousand eastward, and ten thousand westward: and it shall be over against the oblation of the holy portion; and the increase thereof shall be for food unto them that serve the city.
- And they that serve the city shall serve it out of all the tribes of Israel.
- All the oblation shall be five and twenty thousand by five and twenty thousand: ye shall offer the holy oblation foursquare, with the possession of the city.
- And the residue shall be for the prince, on the one side and on the other of the holy oblation, and of the possession of the city, over against the five and twenty thousand of the oblation toward the east border, and westward over against the five and twenty thousand toward the west border, over against the portions for the prince: and it shall be the holy oblation; and the sanctuary of the house shall be in the midst thereof.
- Moreover from the possession of the Levites, and from the possession of the city, being in the midst of that which is the prince's, between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin, shall be for the prince.

- And by the border of Benjamin, from the east side unto the west side, Simeon shall have a portion.
- And by the border of Simeon, from the east side unto the west side, Issachar a portion.
- And by the border of Issachar, from the east side unto the west side, Zebulun a portion.
- And by the border of Zebulun, from the east side unto the west side, Gad a portion.
- And by the border of Gad, at the south side southward, the border shall be even from Tamar unto the waters of strife in Kadesh, and to the river toward the great sea.
- This is the land which ye shall divide by lot unto the tribes of Israel for inheritance, and these are their portions, saith the Lord GOD.
- And these are the goings out of the city on the north side, four thousand and five hundred measures.
- And the gates of the city shall be after the names of the tribes of Israel: three gates northward; one gate of Reuben, one gate of Judah, one gate of Levi.
- And at the east side four thousand and five hundred: and three gates; and one gate of Joseph, one gate of Benjamin, one gate of Dan.
- And at the south side four thousand and five hundred measures: and three gates; one gate of Simeon, one gate of Issachar, one gate of Zebulun.
- At the west side four thousand and five hundred, with their three gates; one gate of Gad, one gate of Asher, one gate of Naphtali.
- It was round about eighteen thousand measures: and the name of the city from that day shall be, The LORD is there.
