God's nature is beyond our understanding. God is all knowing, all seeing and all powerful, the creator of the largest star and the smallest flower. God gives life to all and is the author of love and forgiveness. God is completely holy and without any evil. God is three in one - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - the Trinity.

God is the creator

Genesis tells us that, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth". Later, in the New Testament, the apostle John wrote that, "All things were made by him (Jesus Christ)".

God is love

God loves all people. That love can be seen throughout creation, but no greater understanding can we have of God's love than this - that he sent his Son Jesus Christ into the world, to die for our sin on the cross so that we might live. God calls us to love like he does.

God is holy

God is holy, which means set apart from all evil, pure and full of complete love.

God is forgiving

To forgive is to let go of any resentment for being wronged. God is a loving and merciful God who forgives. In the Book of Isaiah God tells say, "Come now, let us reason together. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool."
