Chapter 1

Creation of the World

1:1 - In the Beginning, God made the Heavens and Earth, down to the last particle.

1:2 - Earth was just blank and empty. And it was pitch black everywhere. The Holy Spirit was moving around it.

Day 1 - Light Created

1:3 - So then God said "Light, appear!" and suddenly there was light.

1:4 - So God stepped back and took a look at the light, and it was good. And God separated the light from the darkness.

1:5 - God said when it was light, that would be called daytime and when it's dark, it would be called night. So from morning to night was the first day.

1:6 - The Next Day, God said "Sky, appear in the middle of the waters, and separate water from water!" and it happened.

1:7 - God made the sky, and just like he said, it was in the middle of the waters, and it separated water from water.

1:8 - God called the sky the heavens. So from morning to night was the second day.
