ומנהג ההגמון היה לפטר לעם בכל חג אסיר אחד את אשר יחפצו׃

Greek κατα δε εορτην ειωθει ο ηγεμων απολυειν ενα τω οχλω δεσμιον ον ηθελον
Latin Per diem autem solemnem consueverat præses populi dimittere unum vinctum, quem voluissent :
KJV Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.
