Now Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. Jehu wrote letters, and sent to Samaria, to the rulers of Jezreel, even the elders, and to those who brought up [the sons of] Ahab, saying,

Hebrew ולאחאב שבעים בנים בשמרון ויכתב יהוא ספרים וישלח שמרון אל־שרי יזרעאל הזקנים ואל־האמנים אחאב לאמר׃
Greek και τω αχααβ εβδομηκοντα υιοι εν σαμαρεια και εγραψεν ιου βιβλιον και απεστειλεν εν σαμαρεια προς τους αρχοντας σαμαρειας και προς τους πρεσβυτερους και προς τους τιθηνους υιων αχααβ
Latin Erant autem Achab septuaginta filii in Samaria : scripsit ergo Jehu litteras, et misit in Samariam, ad optimates civitatis, et ad majores natu, et ad nutritios Achab, dicens :
KJV And Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. And Jehu wrote letters, and sent to Samaria, unto the rulers of Jezreel, to the elders, and to them that brought up Ahab's children, saying,
