Hebrew וישמע בן־שאול כי מת אבנר בחברון וירפו ידיו וכל־ישראל נבהלו׃
Greek και ηκουσεν μεμφιβοσθε υιος σαουλ οτι τεθνηκεν αβεννηρ εν χεβρων και εξελυθησαν αι χειρες αυτου και παντες οι ανδρες ισραηλ
Latin Audivit autem Isboseth filius Saul quod cecidisset Abner in Hebron : et dissolutæ sunt manus ejus, omnisque Israël perturbatus est.
KJV And when Saul's son heard that Abner was dead in Hebron, his hands were feeble, and all the Israelites were troubled.
