Hebrew ויאמר חלילה לי יהוה מעשתי זאת הדם האנשים ההלכים בנפשותם ולא אבה לשתותם אלה עשו שלשת הגברים׃ ס
Greek και ειπεν ιλεως μοι κυριε του ποιησαι τουτο ει αιμα των ανδρων των πορευθεντων εν ταις ψυχαις αυτων πιομαι και ουκ ηθελησεν πιειν αυτο ταυτα εποιησαν οι τρεις
Latin dicens : Propitius sit mihi Dominus, ne faciam hoc : num sanguinem hominum istorum, qui profecti sunt, et animarum periculum bibam ? Noluit ergo bibere. Hæc fecerunt tres robustissimi.
KJV And he said, Be it far from me, O LORD, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men.
