The three mighty men broke through the army of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: but he would not drink of it, but poured it out to Yahweh.

Hebrew ויבקעו שלשת הגברים במחנה פלשתים וישאבו־מים מבאר בית־לחם אשר בשער וישאו ויבאו אל־דוד ולא אבה לשתותם ויסך אתם ליהוה׃
Greek και διερρηξαν οι τρεις δυνατοι εν τη παρεμβολη των αλλοφυλων και υδρευσαντο υδωρ εκ του λακκου του εν βαιθλεεμ του εν τη πυλη και ελαβαν και παρεγενοντο προς δαυιδ και ουκ ηθελησεν πιειν αυτο και εσπεισεν αυτο τω
Latin Irruperunt ergo tres fortes castra Philisthinorum, et hauserunt aquam de cisterna Bethlehem, quæ erat juxta portam, et attulerunt ad David : at ille noluit bibere, sed libavit eam Domino,
KJV And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the LORD.
