Hebrew ויאמר המלך שלום לנער לאבשלום ויאמר אחימעץ ראיתי ההמון הגדול לשלח את־עבד המלך יואב ואת־עבדך ולא ידעתי מה׃
Greek και ειπεν ο βασιλευς ειρηνη τω παιδαριω τω αβεσσαλωμ και ειπεν αχιμαας ειδον το πληθος το μεγα του αποστειλαι τον δουλον του βασιλεως ιωαβ και τον δουλον σου και ουκ εγνων τι
Latin Et ait rex : Estne pax puero Absalom ? Dixitque Achimaas : Vidi tumultum magnum, cum mitteret Joab servus tuus, o rex, me servum tuum : nescio aliud.
KJV And the king said, Is the young man Absalom safe? And Ahimaaz answered, When Joab sent the king's servant, and me thy servant, I saw a great tumult, but I knew not what it was.
