Hebrew ויען השליש את־איש האלהים ויאמר והנה יהוה עשה ארבות בשמים היהיה כדבר הזה ויאמר הנך ראה בעיניך ומשם לא תאכל׃
Greek και απεκριθη ο τριστατης τω ελισαιε και ειπεν ιδου κυριος ποιει καταρρακτας εν τω ουρανω μη εσται το ρημα τουτο και ειπεν ελισαιε ιδου οψη τοις οφθαλμοις σου και εκειθεν ου
Latin quando responderat dux ille viro Dei, et dixerat : Etiamsi Dominus fecerit cataractas in cælo, numquid poterit fieri quod loqueris ? Et dixit ei : Videbis oculis tuis, et inde non comedes.
KJV And that lord answered the man of God, and said, Now, behold, if the LORD should make windows in heaven, might such a thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
