2 Chronicles 27 Text (WEB) Jotham was twenty-five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Jerushah the daughter of Zadok. He did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, according to all that his father Uzziah had done: however he didn't enter into the temple of Yahweh. The people did yet corruptly. He built the upper gate of the house of Yahweh, and on the wall of Ophel he built much. Moreover he built cities in the hill country of Judah, and in the forests he built castles and towers. He fought also with the king of the children of Ammon, and prevailed against them. The children of Ammon gave him the same year one hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. So much did the children of Ammon render to him, in the second year also, and in the third. So Jotham became mighty, because he ordered his ways before Yahweh his God. Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars, and his ways, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah. He was five and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Ahaz his son reigned in his place.
2 Chronicles 27 Text (Hebrew) בן־עשרים וחמש שנה יותם במלכו ושש־עשרה שנה מלך בירושלם ושם אמו ירושה בת־צדוק׃ ויעש הישר בעיני יהוה ככל אשר־עשה עזיהו אביו רק לא־בא אל־היכל יהוה ועוד העם משחיתים׃ הוא בנה את־שער בית־יהוה העליון ובחומת העפל בנה לרב׃ וערים בנה בהר־יהודה ובחרשים בנה בירניות ומגדלים׃ והוא נלחם עם־מלך בני־עמון ויחזק עליהם ויתנו־לו בני־עמון בשנה ההיא מאה ככר־כסף ועשרת אלפים כרים חטים ושעורים עשרת אלפים זאת השיבו לו בני עמון ס ובשנה השנית והשלשית׃ ויתחזק יותם כי הכין דרכיו לפני יהוה אלהיו׃ ויתר דברי יותם וכל־מלחמתיו ודרכיו הנם כתובים על־ספר מלכי־ישראל ויהודה׃ בן־עשרים וחמש שנה היה במלכו ושש־עשרה שנה מלך בירושלם׃ וישכב יותם עם־אבתיו ויקברו אתו בעיר דויד וימלך אחז בנו תחתיו׃ ף
2 Chronicles 27 Text (Greek) υιος εικοσι πεντε ετων ιωαθαμ εν τω βασιλευσαι αυτον και δεκα εξ ετη εβασιλευσεν εν ιερουσαλημ και ονομα της μητρος αυτου ιερουσα θυγατηρ και εποιησεν το ευθες ενωπιον κυριου κατα παντα οσα εποιησεν οζιας ο πατηρ αυτου αλλ' ουκ εισηλθεν εις τον ναον κυριου και ετι ο λαος αυτος ωκοδομησεν την πυλην οικου κυριου την υψηλην και εν τειχει του οφλα ωκοδομησεν και πολεις ωκοδομησεν εν ορει ιουδα και εν τοις δρυμοις και οικησεις και αυτος εμαχεσατο προς βασιλεα υιων αμμων και κατισχυσεν επ' αυτον και εδιδουν αυτω οι υιοι αμμων κατ' ενιαυτον εκατον ταλαντα αργυριου και δεκα χιλιαδας κορων πυρου και κριθων δεκα χιλιαδας ταυτα εφερεν αυτω βασιλευς αμμων κατ' ενιαυτον εν τω πρωτω ετει και τω δευτερω και τω και κατισχυσεν ιωαθαμ οτι ητοιμασεν τας οδους αυτου εναντι κυριου θεου και οι λοιποι λογοι ιωαθαμ και ο πολεμος και αι πραξεις αυτου ιδου γεγραμμενοι επι βιβλιω βασιλεων ιουδα και Greek:2 Chronicles 27:8 και εκοιμηθη ιωαθαμ μετα των πατερων αυτου και εταφη εν πολει δαυιδ και εβασιλευσεν αχαζ υιος αυτου αντ'
2 Chronicles 27 Text (Latin) Viginti quinque annorum erat Joatham cum regnare cœpisset, et sedecim annis regnavit in Jerusalem : nomen matris ejus Jerusa filia Sadoc. Fecitque quod rectum erat coram Domino juxta omnia quæ fecerat Ozias pater suus, excepto quod non est ingressus templum Domini, et adhuc populus delinquebat. Ipse ædificavit portam domus Domini excelsam, et in muro Ophel multa construxit. Urbes quoque ædificavit in montibus Juda, et in saltibus castella, et turres. Ipse pugnavit contra regem filiorum Ammon, et vicit eos, dederuntque ei filii Ammon in tempore illo centum talenta argenti, et decem millia coros tritici, ac totidem coros hordei : hæc ei præbuerunt filii Ammon in anno secundo et tertio. Corroboratusque est Joatham, eo quod direxisset vias suas coram Domino Deo suo. Reliqua autem sermonum Joatham, et omnes pugnæ ejus, et opera, scripta sunt in libro regum Israël et Juda. He fought also with the king of the Ammonites, and prevailed against them. And the children of Ammon gave him the same year an hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. So much did the children of Ammon pay unto him, both the second year, and the third. So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God.
