Hebrew ויערכו פלשתים לקראת ישראל ותטש המלחמה וינגף ישראל לפני פלשתים ויכו במערכה בשדה כארבעת אלפים איש׃
Greek και παρατασσονται οι αλλοφυλοι εις πολεμον επι ισραηλ και εκλινεν ο πολεμος και επταισεν ανηρ ισραηλ ενωπιον αλλοφυλων και επληγησαν εν τη παραταξει εν αγρω τεσσαρες χιλιαδες
Latin et instruxerunt aciem contra Israël. Inito autem certamine, terga vertit Israël Philisthæis : et cæsa sunt in illo certamine passim per agros, quasi quatuor millia virorum.
KJV And the Philistines put themselves in array against Israel: and when they joined battle, Israel was smitten before the Philistines: and they slew of the army in the field about four thousand men.
