So David took the spear and the jar of water from Saul's head; and they went away: and no man saw it, nor knew it, neither did any awake; for they were all asleep, because a deep sleep from Yahweh was fallen on them.

Hebrew ויקח דוד את־החנית ואת־צפחת המים מראשתי שאול וילכו להם ואין ראה ואין יודע ואין מקיץ כי כלם ישנים כי תרדמת יהוה נפלה עליהם׃
Greek και ελαβεν δαυιδ το δορυ και τον φακον του υδατος απο προς κεφαλης αυτου και απηλθον καθ' εαυτους και ουκ ην ο βλεπων και ουκ ην ο γινωσκων και ουκ ην ο εξεγειρομενος παντες υπνουντες οτι θαμβος κυριου επεπεσεν επ'
Latin Tulit igitur David hastam, et scyphum aquæ, qui erat ad caput Saul, et abierunt : et non erat quisquam, qui videret, et intelligeret, et evigilaret, sed omnes dormiebant, quia sopor Domini irruerat super eos.
KJV So David took the spear and the cruse of water from Saul's bolster; and they gat them away, and no man saw it, nor knew it, neither awaked: for they were all asleep; because a deep sleep from the LORD was fallen upon them.
