Hebrew והשמעה באה עד־יואב כי יואב נטה אחרי אדניה ואחרי אבשלום לא נטה וינס יואב אל־אהל יהוה ויחזק בקרנות המזבח׃
Greek και η ακοη ηλθεν εως ιωαβ του υιου σαρουιας οτι ιωαβ ην κεκλικως οπισω αδωνιου και οπισω σαλωμων ουκ εκλινεν και εφυγεν ιωαβ εις το σκηνωμα του κυριου και κατεσχεν των κερατων του
Latin Venit autem nuntius ad Joab, quod Joab declinasset post Adoniam, et post Salomonem non declinasset : fugit ergo Joab in tabernaculum Domini, et apprehendit cornu altaris.
KJV Then tidings came to Joab: for Joab had turned after Adonijah, though he turned not after Absalom. And Joab fled unto the tabernacle of the LORD, and caught hold on the horns of the altar.
