Hebrew והדד שמע במצרים כי־שכב דוד עם־אבתיו וכי־מת יואב שר־הצבא ויאמר הדד אל־פרעה שלחני ואלך אל־ארצי׃
Greek και αδερ ηκουσεν εν αιγυπτω οτι κεκοιμηται δαυιδ μετα των πατερων αυτου και οτι τεθνηκεν ιωαβ ο αρχων της στρατιας και ειπεν αδερ προς φαραω εξαποστειλον με και αποστρεψω εις την γην
Latin Cumque audisset Adad in Ægypto dormisse David cum patribus suis, et mortuum esse Joab principem militiæ, dixit Pharaoni : Dimitte me, ut vadam in terram meam.
KJV And when Hadad heard in Egypt that David slept with his fathers, and that Joab the captain of the host was dead, Hadad said to Pharaoh, Let me depart, that I may go to mine own country.
