Justification by faith

Justification by faith has various meanings. Select from these possibilities:
- Justification by faith alone - This is the teaching of Protestant churches that a person is made right before God by his faith alone and not at all on the basis of his good works
- Justification - This is the teaching of all Christian denominations that a person is made right before God by his faith. Protestant churches teach that a person is justified by faith alone whereas Eastern Orthodox and Catholic churches teach that a person is justified by faith and works.
