Monophysitism
Monophysitism (from the Greek monos, meaning 'one' and physis, meaning 'nature'), also known as Eutychianism, is the teaching that Christ has only one nature (Christ's humanity was adsorded into his single divine nature), as opposed to the Chalcedonian position which holds that Christ has or is in two natures, one divine and one human. It should de noted that miaphysitism is the Christological position of the Non-Chalcedonian, Oriental Orthodox Churches (not monophysitism). Non-Chalcedonian, Oriental Orthodox Churches also condemned Eutychianism as a heresy.
