Zacchaeus was a tax-collector who lived in [[Jericho]] and was visited and transformed by Jesus.
[[Image:HolyHolyHoly.jpg]]
Zacchaeus was a chief tax-gatherer (publicanus) at [[Jericho]] ([[Luke 19]]:1-10). Being a short man, he arrived before the crowd who were later to meet with [[Jesus]] as he passed through Jericho on his way to [[Jerusalem]]. The tax collector climbed up a sycomore tree so that he might be able to see him. When Christ reached the spot he looked up into the branches, addressed Zacchaeus by name, and told him to come down. Jesus told the man, who was a hated tax collector, that he intended to visit his house. The crowd was shocked that Christ would be the guest of a tax collector.

The Holy Spirit (or Holy Ghost) is the third person of the [[Trinity]], co-equal with [[God the Father]] and [[Jesus Christ]]. He is the one who convicts of sin and guides into the truth.

The doctrine of the Holy Spirit being God as part of the [[Trinity]] is one of the great mysteries of Christianity, and it is also a core teachings of orthodox [[Christianity]], setting Christianity apart from other [[monotheism|monotheistic]] religions such as [[Islam]], as well various off-shoots of Christianity such as [[Jehovah's Witnesses]] and [[Christadelphianism]].

The Spirit is not an impersonal “it” or simply an influence. He is a person. He is sometimes forgotten in the discussion of the God the Father and God the Son, and yet plays a role within the Trinity and salvation that is fundamental to the Christian life. The Holy Spirit is a person who can be grieved ([[Ephesians 4:30]]) and teach ([[John 14:26]]) among many other things.

===Biblical passages===

The [[Bible]] explains the importance and centrality of the Holy Spirit in the divine plan. Without his presence in this world, there would not be creation, the universe, nor even the humanity ([[Genesis 1:2]], [[Job 26:13]], [[Job 33:4]], [[Psalm 104:30]]). Without the Holy Spirit, neither the [[New Testament]] nor the Bible would not come into existence ([[2 Peter 1:21]], [[John 14:26]], [[1 Corinthians 2:10]]). And without him Christians have no power to proclaim the gospel ([[Acts 1:8]]). Without the Holy Spirit, humans would not have faith, new birth or holiness.

The Way of the Master Radio is a Christian talk show which is broadcast through local FM, satellite, and internet radio. The show is hosted by Todd Friel and is based on the award winning (NRB) reality based show Way of the Master, hosted by former child actor Kirk Cameron and Evangelist Ray Comfort.
[[Image:HolyHolyHoly.jpg]]
Way of the Master Radio is heard on over 150 radio stations in the United States and has recently begun broadcasting in Australia.[http://www.wayofthemasterradio.com/news.shtml]

== Guest on WOTMR ==

The Way of the Master Radio show has featured popular authors, speakers, and pastors from all over the world. Among some of the more familiar names in Evangelicalism who have been guests on the show are men like John MacArhtur, Albert Mohler, Mark Dever, Ken Ham, Os Guiness, Peter Hammond and many others.

== Primary Themes ==

The primary theme which the show seeks to center around is [[evangelism]] and equipping other Christians to do evangelism. Many times on the show they will do what is called "streetfishing" in which a man on the street (a "street fisher") will randomly approach strangers and ask them if they would like to talk about spiritual issues on the radio. In these sessions, either Todd Friel himself, or one of the other co-hosts (Kirk or Ray) will share the gospel message with the person on the phone. This approach has received much praise and a bit of criticism by listeners.

Other topics, such as theology and Christian life are discussed on the show.
Like most of the Anglican Communion in the first world, it has liberal leanings, however not to the extent of countries like the United States and Canada. There are some strong evangelical elements, especially in the largest church, [[Holy Trinity Anglican Church (Adelaide, South Australia)|Holy Trinity]].
:On the bank of a Tennessee river
:In a small Kentucky town
:I drew my first breath one cold November morning
:And before my feet even touched the ground
:With the doctors and the nurses gathered round
:I started to dance
:Yeah, I started to dance
:::
:A little boy full of wide-eyed wonder
:Footloose and fancy free
:But it would happen, as it does for every dancer
:That I'd stumble on a truth I couldn't see
:And find a longing deep inside of me, it said . . .
:::
:I am the heart, I need the heartbeat
:I am the eyes, I need the sight
:I realize that I am just a body
:I need the life
:I move my feet, I go through the motions
:But who'll give purpose to chance
:I am the dancer
:I need the Lord of the dance
:::
:The world beneath us spins in circles
:And this life makes us twist and turn and sway
:But we were made for more than rhythm with no reason
:By the one who moves with passion and with grace
:As He dances over all that He has made
:::
:I am the heart, He is the heartbeat
:I am the eyes, He is the sight
:And I see clearly, I am just a body
:He is the life
:I move my feet, I go through the motions
:But He gives purpose to chance
:I am the dancer
:He is the Lord of the dance
:::
:Lord of the dance
:Lord of the dance
:::
:And while the music of His love and mercy plays
:I will fall down on my knees and I will pray
:::
:I am the heart, You are the heartbeat
[[Image:HolyHolyHoly.jpg]]
Christ is the English representation of the Greek word Χριστός ([[Christos]]). It means "The Anointed One" and is the title given to [[Jesus]]. The equivalent [[Hebrew]] word is "Messiah".

The word is often misunderstood to be the surname of Jesus due to the numerous mentions of Jesus Christ in the [[Bible]]. The word is in fact a title, hence its common reciprocal use Christ Jesus, meaning The Anointed One, Jesus. Followers of Jesus became known as Christians because they believed that Jesus was the Christ, or Messiah, prophesied in the [[Old Testament]].

The area of Christian theology focusing on the identity, life, teachings and works of Jesus, is known as [[Christology]].

In the [[Old Testament]], priests, kings and prophets were anointed with oil. This would be performed to indicate appointment by God to a particular task. In the later Old Testament and during the inter-Testamental period, a common expectation developed of an anointed king, simply called the Messiah or Christ, who would establish God's kingdom. The Gospels clearly show that the people were expecting this Messiah, or Christ. For example, in [[John 1]] the people asked [[John the Baptist]], "Are you the Christ?"

The Gospels reveal that Jesus was the Christ. In [[Luke 23:2]] Jesus claimed to be the Messiah. Furthermore, the Gospels, especially the [[Gospel of Matthew]], linked Jesus with the [[Son of David]], David being the great king about 1,000 years earlier.

The Gospels also show however that Jesus understood the Messiah in very different terms from the common people. Jesus actively discouraged political and revolutionary ideas of an earthly kingdom. He never denied that he was Messiah, but he certainly discouraged people's idea of Messiah, discouraging expectation of political deliverance. Before his execution he said to his judge, Pontius Pilate, "My kingdom is not of this world" ([[John 18:35]]). During his ministry Jesus had shown this. He had made a strong link between Christ and [[Son of God]] (see for example [[Mark 1:1]], [[Matthew 16:16]] and [[Luke 4:41]]) and had made known to his disciples that his purpose was to suffer, die and rise to new life (see for example [[Luke 24:46]]). It was through this death and resurrection that Jesus taught that the Messiah would bring eternal life (see for example [[John 12:34]] and [[John 20:31]]).
Ahaz was a king of the Judah ([[2 Kings 16]], [[2 Chronicles 28]]). He did give exclusive worship to God, but was involved in [[idolatry]]. He died at the age of 35, after reigning 16 years ([[732 BC]]-[[716 BC]] according to [[E.R. Thiele]]), and was succeeded by his son [[Hezekiah]]. He is one the kings mentioned in the genealogy of [[Jesus]] in the [[Gospel of Matthew]].

Kings records that Ahaz lived a life full of evil practices, introducing many pagan and idolatrous customs ([[Isaiah 8:19]]; [[Kings 23:12]]).

In 733 BC, Israel (and Aram) tried to pressure Ahaz into joining a coalition against Assyria (the armies of which were sweeping across the Middle East under [[King Tiglath-Pileser III]]). Ahaz, ignoring the warnings of the prophets [[Isaiah]], [[Hosea]], and [[Micah]], appealed to [[Tiglath-Pileser III]] for help – a decision that was condemned by Isaiah. Assyria assisted Judah and conquered the northern Kingdom exiling the people. This also brought Ahaz humiliating subjection to the Assyrians ([[2 Kings 16]]:7,9; [[2 Kings 15:29|15:29]]).

He died at the age of 35, after reigning 16 years, and was succeeded by his son Hezekiah. Because of his sins he was "not brought into the sepulchre of the kings."
Hello Kathleen. It's nice to see a fellow Adelaidean editing at WikiChristian. Would you like put a link for your church in the [[Churches in Adelaide Index]] section? --[[User:Graham grove|Graham grove]] 03:54, 5 November 2007 (EST)

: (I read your reply to [[User:Graham grove|Graham grove]]). I agree, that the spam filter is a bit annoying isn't it? I'm not sure how to change it, but I guess we just work around it. I'm intrigued by your statement that "I am a Christian but I don't go to church because some people that go to church are hypocrites." - I'm not offended in any way, I'm just intrigued. Could you expand a little? --[[User:Muser|Muser]] 05:08, 5 November 2007 (EST)

Hi Kathleen. Thanks for your contributions so far. I notice that you removed some of the "red" links in different articles. I think that its worth keeping these red links in, because eventually they be editted and new pages will be created. So rather than removing red links, it may be better to add content to them. Oh, by the way, have you seen: [[WikiChristian:Beliefs]]? --[[User:Muser|Muser]] 15:16, 6 November 2007 (EST)

Hi. Yes I've seen the Vietnamese pages. Someone worked on them some time ago. I think they are passages from the Bible. I'm happy to leave it for the moment, and see if someone continues to work on it in the future. --[[User:Graham grove|Graham grove]] 14:21, 9 November 2007 (EST)

Thanks for putting all the clean-up tags. Unfortunately it still doesn't solve the problem. For example, I've deleted the givemepink page for About Moore College, but if you search for "Moore College" it still appears. The problem appears to be related to the single slash (/) and the double slash (//). --[[User:Muser|Muser]] 21:29, 10 November 2007 (EST)

Okay, I've worked out a way of getting rid of the files with the // as well. It takes a little time, but I'll get there over the next few weeks. --[[User:Muser|Muser]] 22:05, 10 November 2007 (EST)

Thanks by the way for the work you are doing. You might have noticed that there are different styles of pages. Currently we are working on changing all the pages to the standard style that is described at [[Wikichristian:Page Layout]]. We would love for you to help us change some of the older pages into this style. Note that this style is for the main article for a topic; it doesn't apply for opinion articles (see [[Wikichristian:Opinion articles]] for information about these). --[[User:Muser|Muser]] 22:18, 10 November 2007 (EST)
== Re: Vandalism Reverting ==

Hi Kathleen! Thanks for removing the vandalism of the funny looking animal-thing from those pages. Where do people come up with this stuff? Actually, a better question is ''why'' do they come up with it?

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that next time you revert vandalism, make sure you don't just blank the page; if you do that, then all the work previously made on that page will be erased, and someone has to go back and revert again to the last non-vandalised version. If only one vandal edit has been made to the page, just use the "undo" button found in the page's history. If two or more vandal edits have been made to the same page, then:

#Click "History" at the top of the article,
#Click the date of the last non-vandalised version,
#Click "edit the page" when the page opens,
#Type in an edit summary such as "reverted vandalism" and then click save.
== Dead Sea and WikiProject Invitation ==

Hi Kathleen,

Sorry I took so long in acting upon your message. To be honest, I didn't see it until just today. I can't think how I missed it, especially for so long. Instead of deleting [[Dead Sea]], I thought it would just be better to redirect it to [[Dead Sea (EBD)]]. And I left Graham Grove a reminder about your invitation. You still wanted me to, right? == Category Problem ==

Hi Kathleen,

Again, sorry for the delayed response :) I think the problem with the Template Category showing up on articles is because, since the whole template is transcluded, the categories are moved onto the articles as well. The way to fix it would be to go to the ''template'' page and put the following code around the category link:

<code><nowiki><noinclude>[[Catgeory:NAME]]</noinclude></nowiki></code>

Whatever is between the two "no include" tags will not be transcluded to the articles the template is used on. I tried it with [[WikiChristian:Video of the day]] and it worked; the main page is no longer in the video of the day category :)

Now, I know on your Wikipedia user page it says you do not want to be an admin, but I think you could really help out here with the extra tools (working on the protected templates, deleting all the spam articles you're always coming across, etc.). Would you like me to make you a sysop?

God bless! -- [[User:P.B. Pilhet|P.B. Pilhet]] / [[User talk:P.B. Pilhet|Talk]] 19:30, 20 May 2008 (PDT)

P.S. -- I moved the CKB article on [http://christianity.wikia.com/wiki/Bible_trivia Bible trivia] into Category:Bible.

:Okay, you're now an admin. The sysop tools are pretty straightforward and easy to use (and no, you don't have to read any specific policies). The only thing that may seem difficult at first is blocking; but if you follow the instructions at [[Special:Blockip]], you'll get it :) Reading the various admin-related pages on Wikipedia obviously couldn't ''hurt'', though. I'm not sure how to fix the template problem at the CKB, but I'll look into it. Anyways, thanks for those sites you recommended :)

:Feel free to protect any pages in your user-space if you want, except your talk, obviously :) And don't feel shy about using the sysop priviledges. If you make a mistake, it ''can'' be undone (contrary to what everyone on Wikipedia says, but what do they know?).

:God bless, [[User:P.B. Pilhet|P.B. Pilhet]] / [[User talk:P.B. Pilhet|Talk]] 02:26, 22 May 2008 (PDT)

:P.S. You don't need to bother with semi-protection, as IP's can't edit WikiChristian any more anyways.

::I can't seem to find a way around the category problem; first off, noincluding the templates doesn't seem to remove the articles from the categories (for some crazy reason), and second the articles' formatting gets all screwed up. I think we should just remove the Category:Template thing altogether. It's unfortunate, but I think it's the only thing to do. I've already tried every wiki formatting trick I know :( And yeah, if rollback will help speed up your various tasks, feel free to use it :) -- [[User:P.B. Pilhet|P.B. Pilhet]] / [[User talk:P.B. == Returnto ==

Hi Kathleen. Thanks for all your organizing work. Could you however please keep all the of the returnto sections at the end of a page. Remember that this is not wikipedia and has some differences. Take a look at [[Wikichristian.org:Page Layout]] section. Thanks. --[[User:Graham grove|Graham grove]] 01:01, 25 May 2008 (PDT)

: Hi Kathleen. I think the problem has been solved by putting the "noinclude" section into the return to template. I just edited [[A Mighty Stronghold is our God (song)]] - before I editted it, it was in the Categories:Template page, but after saving it, it no longer was. I think each page with "returnto" in it just needs to be resaved for it to disappear from the Categories:Template page. Hope this helps. Cheers. --[[User:Graham grove|Graham grove]] 03:12, 25 May 2008 (PDT)

==Congrats!==

...on blocking your first vandal :) Just one thing though, make sure that when you use a block template on the vandal's talk page that you "subst" the template. This puts less load on the server, and also enables the automatic signature feature to work in the template (so you don't have to sign any block templates). Thanks a ''bunch'' for all the cleanup you've been doing!!! It means so much to everyone at WikiChristian :) God bless! -- [[User:P.B. Pilhet|P.B. Pilhet]] / [[User talk:P.B. Pilhet|Talk]] 00:58, 6 June 2008 (PDT)

:P.S. -- Particulary, thanks for removng the givemepink crap. I got your email, and yes, those redirects are very time-consuming and tiring to get rid of! :) -- 01:00, 6 June 2008 (PDT)
==Latest Vandalsim==

Hi Kathleen, don't bother using rollback on the latest vandalism ("love from ebaums"), because it will just revert to more vandalism. The vandal, whoever he is, is obviously using a script to vandalize an article with one account, then vandalize it again with another account, thus causing rollback to only revert to the first vandal edit. I'm going to go around other wikis and ask how we can prevent this from happening again. In the mean time, we just have a lot of boring manual reverting to do. -- [[User:P.B. Pilhet|P.B. : I see Graham has beaten me to the punch, but I wanted to let you know that I can redo all the links in EBD pages quite easily. I'll wait to a majority of pages are moved over, then I'll run it once. Then, after they're all over, I'll run it again. Then, we can delete all the redirects. --[[User:Aquatiki|Aquatiki]] 20:47, 15 October 2008 (PDT)
== Clean-up Project ==

Hi Kathleen. Thanks once again for the great work you have been doing with the Easton Bible Dictionary wikifying! You might want to take a look at [[WikiChristian:Clean-up]] to see some of the changes that are happening at WikiChristian at the moment. This especially concerns you because Easton Bible Dictionary pages are being moved. It'd be great if you would like to help out with the moving of these pages. By the way, by moving them, we won't lose any of the hard work you've done because of the automatic redirects that occur when you move a page. --[[User:Graham grove|Graham grove]] 12:14, 8 October 2008 (PDT)

== Good Work ==

Well done Kathleen. Thanks for sorting out the technical problems with WikiChristian. And brilliant work getting rid of the Matthew Henry Commentary pages! --[[User:Graham grove|Graham grove]] 10:26, 10 October 2008 (PDT)

== EBD ==

Hi Kathleen. Since there are over 3,000 EBD pages, I've figured out that it will take a long time to move them all. If you, me and Aquatiki all moved 10 a day, then in 100 days we'd have them all moved. I'm going to start with the letter M (for no particular reason - purely random) and work from there. If you like to join me and choose another letter, go for it. Thanks. --[[User:Graham grove|Graham]] 06:47, 17 October 2008 (PDT)

== Importing ==

Hi Kathleen. Good work with everything you've been doing. When importing articles from other sources you might want to consider a few extra things - these are only suggestions: (1) rewording them so that they fit WikiChristian CPOV (2) reformatting the page so that it fits [[WikiChristian:Page Layout]] (3) adding a link in the appropriate page / index and add the <nowiki>{{returnto}}</nowiki> feature. Anyway, keep up the good work. --[[User:Graham grove|Graham]] 08:16, 22 October 2008 (PDT)
== Wow - Good work ==
== Server fixed ==

Server has been fixed. Spoke with a tech guy who sorted the problem out. Thanks Kathleen for bringing it to my attention. Graham. --[[User:121.45.219.180|121.45.219.180]] 01:10, 25 October 2008 (PDT)
== Good stuff ==

Wow. Keep up the good work in moving those EBD pages Kathleen. At this rate they'll all be moved by the end of the year! --[[User:Graham grove|Graham]] 09:17, 3 November 2008 (PST)

== Impressive ==

Wow. You've continued to move the EBD pages at a rate of knots. Well done and thank you for your dedication. --[[User:Graham grove|Graham]] 03:29, 13 November 2008 (PST)

You're not human, are you? I can't imagine androids with your kind of stamina and devotion. I'm glad you're on our team! Way to go and thanks for your hard work! --[[User:Aquatiki|Aquatiki]] 13:51, 15 November 2008 (PST)

== I may have made some mistakes ==

I was moving Greek:Name of page to Koine Greek:Name of page and I think I may have made some mistakes deleting some redirect pages to 'inflections' as on the [[WikiChristian:Clean-up]] page and that were on this page (now deleted completely) Special%3AAllpages&from=Wisdom+of+Solomon&namespace=102. I was trying to get them out of the Greek Bible Namespace - more also on following page written in Greek. See Deletion Log for today (November 18) for details. [[User:Kathleen.wright5|Kathleen.wright5]] 03:53, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

: No problems. It would probably be handy to hold off on doing any thing for the Greek stuff at the moment. Robert and I haven't quite figured out the best way to do the Greek stuff. I think in the end we were thinking of putting all of the individual Koine Greek words in the Greek name-space because they are probably the sort of articles that people who click on "Random page" don't want to come across - but I can see that that hasn't been updated into the Clean-up page. So don't worry about any of the Greek stuff - Robert and I will sort that out. And anything that has been lost is not a huge deal - so don't worry about that. But thanks for letting me know though. By the way, brilliant work on moving all of the EBD stuff. Well done. Thanks. --[[User:Graham grove|Graham]] 07:56, 18 November 2008 (PST)
