אבל תרחק מן השאלות התפלות ומלמודי תולדות ומן הקטטות ומחלקות בעניני החקים כי אין בהן מועיל והבל הנה׃

Greek μωρας δε ζητησεις και γενεαλογιας και και μαχας νομικας περιιστασο εισιν γαρ ανωφελεις και ματαιοι
Latin Stultas autem quæstiones, et genealogias, et contentiones, et pugnas legis devita : sunt enim inutiles, et vanæ.
KJV But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
