It happened in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, when wine was before him, that I took up the wine, and gave it to the king. Now I had not been [before] sad in his presence.

Hebrew | ויהי בחדש ניסן שנת עשרים לארתחשסתא המלך יין לפניו ואשא את־היין ואתנה למלך ולא־הייתי רע לפניו׃ |
Greek | και εγενετο εν μηνι νισαν ετους εικοστου αρθασασθα βασιλει και ην ο οινος ενωπιον εμου και ελαβον τον οινον και εδωκα τω βασιλει και ουκ ην ετερος ενωπιον |
Latin | Factum est autem in mense Nisan, anno vigesimo Artaxerxis regis : et vinum erat ante eum, et levavi vinum, et dedi regi : et eram quasi languidus ante faciem ejus. |
