Hebrew ויכנע מדין לפני בני ישראל ולא יספו לשאת ראשם ותשקט הארץ ארבעים שנה בימי גדעון׃ ף
Greek και συνεσταλη μαδιαμ ενωπιον υιων ισραηλ και ου προσεθηκαν αραι κεφαλην αυτων και ησυχασεν η γη τεσσαρακοντα ετη εν ημεραις
Latin Humiliatus est autem Madian coram filiis Israël, nec potuerunt ultra cervices elevare : sed quievit terra per quadraginta annos, quibus Gedeon præfuit.
KJV Thus was Midian subdued before the children of Israel, so that they lifted up their heads no more. And the country was in quietness forty years in the days of Gideon.
