For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, the anguish as of her who brings forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, who gasps for breath, who spreads her hands, [saying], "Woe is me now! For my soul faints before the murderers."

Hebrew כי קול כחולה שמעתי צרה כמבכירה קול בת־ציון תתיפח תפרש כפיה אוי־נא לי כי־עיפה נפשי להרגים׃ ף
Greek οτι φωνην ως ωδινουσης ηκουσα του στεναγμου σου ως πρωτοτοκουσης φωνη θυγατρος σιων εκλυθησεται και παρησει τας χειρας αυτης οιμμοι εγω οτι εκλειπει η ψυχη μου επι τοις
Latin Vocem enim quasi parturientis audivi, angustias ut puerperæ : vox filiæ Sion intermorientis, expandentisque manus suas : Væ mihi quia defecit anima mea propter interfectos !
KJV For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, and the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that bewaileth herself, that spreadeth her hands, saying, Woe is me now! for my soul is wearied because of murderers.
