But they rebelled against me, and would not listen to me; they did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.

Hebrew וימרו־בי ולא אבו לשמע אלי איש את־שקוצי עיניהם לא השליכו ואת־גלולי מצרים לא עזבו ואמר לשפך חמתי עליהם לכלות אפי בהם בתוך ארץ מצרים׃
Greek και απεστησαν απ' εμου και ουκ ηθελησαν εισακουσαι μου τα βδελυγματα των οφθαλμων αυτων ουκ απερριψαν και τα επιτηδευματα αιγυπτου ουκ εγκατελιπον και ειπα του εκχεαι τον θυμον μου επ' αυτους του συντελεσαι την οργην μου εν αυτοις εν μεσω γης
Latin Et irritaverunt me, nolueruntque me audire : unusquisque abominationes oculorum suorum non projecit, nec idola Ægypti reliquerunt. Et dixi ut effunderem indignationem meam super eos, et implerem iram meam in eis, in medio terræ Ægypti.
