Now therefore seeing that I have come to speak this word to my lord the king, it is because the people have made me afraid: and your handmaid said, 'I will now speak to the king; it may be that the king will perform the request of his servant.'

Hebrew ועתה אשר־באתי לדבר אל־המלך אדני את־הדבר הזה כי יראני העם ותאמר שפחתך אדברה־נא אל־המלך אולי יעשה המלך את־דבר אמתו׃
Greek και νυν ο ηλθον λαλησαι προς τον βασιλεα τον κυριον μου το ρημα τουτο οτι οψεται με ο λαος και ερει η δουλη σου λαλησατω δη προς τον βασιλεα ει πως ποιησει ο βασιλευς το ρημα της δουλης
Latin Nunc igitur veni, ut loquar ad dominum meum regem verbum hoc, præsente populo. Et dixit ancilla tua : Loquar ad regem, si quomodo faciat rex verbum ancillæ suæ.
KJV Now therefore that I am come to speak of this thing unto my lord the king, it is because the people have made me afraid: and thy handmaid said, I will now speak unto the king; it may be that the king will perform the request of his handmaid.
