Hebrew ושם איש מעבדי שאול ביום ההוא נעצר לפני יהוה ושמו דאג האדמי אביר הרעים אשר לשאול׃
Greek και εκει ην εν των παιδαριων του σαουλ εν τη ημερα εκεινη συνεχομενος νεεσσαραν ενωπιον κυριου και ονομα αυτω δωηκ ο συρος νεμων τας ημιονους
Latin Erat autem ibi vir quidam de servis Saul, in die illa, intus in tabernaculo Domini : et nomen ejus Doëg Idumæus, potentissimus pastorum Saul.
KJV Now a certain man of the servants of Saul was there that day, detained before the LORD; and his name was Doeg, an Edomite, the chiefest of the herdmen that belonged to Saul.
